Thanksgiving getaway

Ideal location directly on the beach with easy walking access to the beach and the NWR. Quick drive to stores, restaurants, and NWR rec areas. Comfortable roomy house.

Fun family getaway

We booked this home for a long weekend with family. Close to several good restaurants, the aquarium, and shopping. Clean, 5 adults and 3 kids all fit comfortably. Nice view.

Winter Holiday

We looked at so many houses for our winter break trip. This house was perfect for a family with small kids and grandparents coming along. So easy to get to the beach on nice days and the view was amazing for colder days. The house had everything you could need! Already looking forward to going back.

Nice and spacious

The property was nice and spacious and it easily accommodated my family of 7. The location was perfect in that it was in a quiet area but still close to great restaurants and shops. I would definitely return.

The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The views were spectacular and access to the beach super easy. We did lose power during a storm and after some initial snafus the property manager was very responsive, bringing us requested flashlights and candles in case the power outage continued. It was quickly fixed once power company was aware.

Perfect get-away

We had such a great time in South Nags Head at 3 Gulls and a Bouy. Our favorite part was catching the sunrises from the decks and walking the end of the beach. Our kids loved the easy beach access and several board games to keep us busy on the one rainy day. Everyone in our family loved staying here and we were sad to leave!!

Great location. Great older cottage!

The location of this cottage is amazing. Great outdoor living spaces, including a large screened in porch. Spacious rooms and the kitchen is stocked w Fiesta Ware, along w every pot and pan and utensil needed, to include a variety of sharp chef knives. We had an AC glitch that the property manager took care of. The hottub didn't work for all the days my friends attended. There was some mildew in the master bath and the jet tub ran out of hot water before the water covered the jets, in addition to a very slippery shower. I'd stay here again if I was assured the above glitches were attended to. Thus, the 4 stars.

Great Easter vacation

Loved the area, it was away from the hussle and bussel from Nags Head but close enough we could be at any restaurant or shop within 5-10 min. Awesome layout of the house, comfy beds, plenty of space, and LOVED all the deck space and beach. Would def come back again!!

Location, Location, Location!

The house looks just like it does in the pictures. The view is AMAZING! We had terrific weather for March but when the sun started to do down and it got chilly beachfront our group loved hanging out on the HUGE deck in the front of the house, playing cornhole (we brought it and the deck was great for it, as was the screened in side deck if it was windy) and watching the sun set. As stated, you get basic starters: 1 kitchen trash bag, small bar soap at sinks, 1 TP, 1 dishwasher detergent, etc., so be prepared to bring or buy enough for your stay. There is nothing fancy about this house, but it is comfy with a well stocked kitchen and plenty of space to spread out. This was out first trip to the Outer Banks and we loved the location at the end of a beach road that you can access from the main road. This house was great for 2 couples and 4 college kids over spring break. Thanks so much!

Outstanding Choice

We were looking for a warm, cozy, cottage-feel on the ocean and we got it! Well appointed, fabulous location, lots of indoor and outdoor space, perfect for us, our adult children and grand kids. We fell asleep to the oceans roar. Sunset on the sound-side deck and sunrise on the ocean-side deck. Exactly what we were looking for! Dolphins, pelicans, sea birds, fox, and more; just the winter respite we needed.

Fantastic location

We were so excited upon arrival as the location was EXACTLY what we were hoping for! Unfortunately, the cleaning company left something to be desired; food on the floor which attracted ants. The house is older, and could use some attention - but the location could not be better.

Gorgeous view!

Perfect house for three couples! Great decks for enjoying the beach view! Kitchen well equipped. Easy access to get to main highway but beach road was great, too. Would definitely recommend and/or stay in this house again!

Wonderful Secluded Getaway

This was the perfect getaway during the pandemic...exchanging one seclusion for another -- only this one had the most incredible view....up at sunrise was a morning ritual. Although the cottage is dated in terms of furniture and decor (which we very much enjoyed!), the house was clean, well stocked (kitchen, games, puzzles, books), and beds were very comfortable -- which is all we needed.

Wonderful Location and property

This property was very clean. Plenty of room for everyone. The beach was right out the backdoor. The beach was pretty empty where we were which was great. Check in was fast and easy. We received an email a few days before we arrived with information regarding check in. The appliances were all up to date and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils. The only complaint we had is that the grill could use a good cleaning but that's not something I'd expect housekeeping to take care of and it's not something we brought up to the property management at this point because it didn't really effect our trip. We'd definitely stay here again.
