Great for Teenagers (or anyone)

My two teens and I loved our stay here. The community felt very safe and the condo had everything we needed. The pool was great, the kitchen was spacious and easy to cook in, and the beds were super comfortable. The AC cooled the place quickly and the water pressure was strong with endless hot water, such a bonus.The location was also perfect with shopping, restaurants, and a grocery store all nearby. The management team was quick to respond and the home itself felt welcoming. The beautiful beaches were, of course, the highlight, and having beach chairs and umbrellas included made it even better. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

The accommodations and amenities were excellent. We had no problems at all. Everything went smooth and would definitely stay in this unit again. Everything was clean and well maintained.

Beautiful place but needs cleaning

We loved our stay at this place. The place needs updates and a good cleaning. Cabinets, bathrooms, appliances, door and floor need a deep cleaning. The garbage disposal broke they were so good at replacing it with a new one… we had to clean all the water that leaked out. Overall not a bad place just needs upkeep

Fabulous vacation

We loved our stay. Great place, fantastic trip. Only hiccup was not getting a response from mgt company or owners with a problem. Someone smoked weed in the unit prior to our arrival. The lingering smell (days)really affected my asthma. We were told they'd get back to us, but never did. Very awkward with my 81 y/o mother in law with us. Other than that, it was great!

Wonderful week at Sandestin

We loved staying in this unit at Westwinds. Condo was clean and ready and had the most beautiful view of the beach. We were pleased with communication, ease of check in, accommodations…everything was great. This unit is perfect for a family! We love being right on the beach, having the pool, and the restaurant by the pool was super convenient for lunch. We can’t wait to come back!

Great views!

The grounds were excellent & the pool area was well maintained. The unit had great views & great space. There were some maintenance issues we experienced, such as a detached/broken door leaning against a wall & the television in the 2nd bedroom did not work. There was one adult-size beach chair but it was also broken. The overall space is great though & the property is beautiful!

Great Little Get Away

It was our first time in Destin and it was very nice for what we needed. The view was amazing and the room was clean. They did have people painting the door and changing filters without giving us a heads up but it wasn't too intrusive. Would definitely book again.

Prefect Location!

This was our second time staying at the Westwinds and once again it did not disappoint! Unit 4740 was perfect for our group of 6. The pool, hot tub, and snack bar area were wonderful and great for the kids. The beach access was amazing and the views were gorgeous. We loved seeing dolphins every morning! We will keep coming back to this property for future vacations.

Great condo experience.

My friends & I were impressed with the condo. We were there for a tennis weekend and enjoyed it immensely. The condo worked well for our group. The view was amazing & we had everything we needed.

Great vacation

The check-in process was a little confusing at first. This was my first experience with reservations through an app. After calling, to figure out the codes, everything worked out. Overall a great vacation! We will definitely be back.

Best beach ever!

Great view of the ocean from all windows and balconies. Building and grounds are very well taken care of. Best beach, with sand like silk. Quiet building. Pool temp was nice and warm. We had a wonderful stay but vacationers might like to know that they will need to supply some of there own basic household items such as laundry detergent, dryer sheets, garbage bags (two were supplied), dishwasher soap (two dish pods were supplied), condiments, toilet paper (4 rolls were supplied), Etc... This was not a problem for us as we just made a little grocery run the first night. The pull out couch was not very comfortable on its own and had a thin foam mattress. However, since we were driving there we brought a super thick comfy bed pad/cover, that we have for our guests at our home, which made it better to sleep on. Something like this would be a good addition to have for use with the pull out couch. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly stay there again.

Girls trip

Beautiful location, great amenities, v clean & prepared for guests w exception of finding some candy wrappers in twin bedroom & popcorn kernels in great room, it was a huge bonus to have chairs & umbrellas & toys, but feel they could use an update as umbrellas were missing the parts that screw into the sand, some chairs missing straps & a bit rusty, & boogie boards foam broken. Loved the accessibility of having 4 elevators, luggage carts & covered parking & ice. Pools & hot tub areas and restrooms were very well maintained. Would highly recommend this location.

Beach vacay

Property was clean. We did find candy wrappers on the floor behind the chair in guest room. This rental had the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on while on vacation. They were great. I was disappointed with the kitchen utensils and pan supply. The kitchen needs to be better stocked.

AMAZZZING

So I’ve seen a few reviews on here that sort of nit pick, and a couple of them had me worried. But the bad reviews, we didn’t even notice the things they talked about! This place was PERFECT for us! It was my husband and myself, our almost 6 yr old daughter and 14 year old son, and I don’t think we could have picked a better place! This is at the Westwinds building on Sandestin Resort and it really is the best one! Has a poolside grill and bar, kids LOVED it, and we loved the drinks lol! Best pool area by FAR, the best beach (more spread out and less crowded) and the condo itself couldn’t have been more perfect! We had a TON of crap lol and always had plenty of room! We could wash and dry our towels and swimsuits as needed, they already have beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and beach toys there, the bathrooms were great, beds were comfy and location gave the perfect view! I seriously have nothing to complain about! If I were going to give some tips, the only ones I can think of is maybe the LR furniture could be designed more for lounging (but at the same time we really didn’t DO any lounging lol, AND, I get that you are kind of limited on furniture options when you have to get a sleeper sofa!) and the only thing we didn’t have that I ended up needing, were cookie sheets, and I went and got some, it was not a tragedy lol! For real, I 100% recommend this place! This building even has its “regulars” and everyone is so so nice, the kids made so many friends, which meant less entertaining for us lol, and vrbo and vacation haven make everything super easy! Oh, and get the Sandestin app before you go so you can really look at everything you have access to!

Great location on beach and view

Clean but dated furnishings. Limited channels on cable and not able to stream with a teenager was a challenge. Weather was bad and made it difficult with limited shows to watch on TV. No extra garbage bags and no cleaners for kitchen. Need to bring everything for the kitchen, like salt & pepper, pam for cooking, as it was over cautious for Covid.

This was the perfect location. Easy access to the beach and lots of wonderful activities available.

We could not have had a more perfect experience. The kitchen was well stocked. It was wonderful to have the beach chairs and beach umbrellas available. The beds were very comfortable. Perfect sleeping arrangements for our family of five. We will definitely be back

Condo was nice

Washing machine was broken when we arrived on Sunday. It leaked all over the floor and 2 feet into the carpet. On 6 different occasions within 3 days 4 different repairmen came by to assess the problem. It was repaired on the 4th day. We left early on the 5th day because pools and fitness room closed and beaches were to close soon after. I would recommend more silverware and cooking utensils such as spatulas and mixing spoons. The pull out couch needs a good mattress pad if someone is to sleep there. I would stay here again. It would have been nice to receive a discount or not charged owners fee or cleaning fee due to having no washing machine.
