"Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful."

"Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!"

"We stayed 6 Nights and found a cottage with very modern furniture, all you Need in the kitchen, own BBQ Grill Outside including Picnic Area. Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. "The property looks small from the outside, however, it’s surprisingly spacious inside. A very comfortable bed, with all the kit you could need in the kitchen once the hidden drawer is located. The summer house and garden on the other side of the very quiet road are a delight, we loved coming back and sitting out with a glass or two. Would highly recommend………."
