You get what you pay for with this property, but if you are just looking for a comfortable bed and having everything be operational like I did, you will be just fine with Highland Park Motel.

We showed up at 11am with all our baggage hoping they would let us leave it there but he wouldnt let us do anything until 3pm check in. We finally got our room. We only lasted about 10 minutes in the room. There we bugs all over. We saw at least 5, 1 in the bed. We left and found a different hotel.

A truly horrible experience. It’s dirty, disgusting, bug ridden, everything is broken, cigarette burns in the sheets. They shouldn’t even have this place on Expedia, it’s that bad. No one should ever stay here, ever.

These boneheads accepted my Expedia reservation but when I arrived they had no room for me. I had to go to another place. IO can say that the outside of this place was trashy and the stink of urine was pervasive. Two thumbs down.

I got there early asked the if my room was ready, he stated check in is at 3pm, but for $40.00 xtra I could get in the room, which was ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS, leaking toilet, graffiti throughout the room, Expedia you should be ashamed of yourself for offering service to this dump.I left after 2 hours, slept in my car.

The worst I have ever reserved. I had no other option because I booked last minute, the bathroom was dirty , the window had no cover , it was disgusting, it had roaches, lots of dust. I booked two nights and i checked out in the morning. I couldnt handle being there! Only thing is I wish I could’ve got my mom back.

Not great at all

The room smelled like vomite, dog urine and it also did not have a pleasing look inside. My boyfriend and I had to get Lysol, Clorox and disinfect everything! The worse thing was that our next door was loud, and fighting during the mornings. Not great at all

Evidently I had reserved a smoking room but was given a nonsmoking room. When I asked about it was told that I’d have to wait for the next available one. The bed had no blanket on it just a bedspread and sheet. Just about everything rattled and squeeked, bed, vents…

There were so many roaches crawling in my room wall and floor & even in bed.Disgusting. It was in the middle of my sleep when i felt something was crawling on me. I open the light and see the small king of roach in the sheet! I went pull the sheet and killed 2. I was so tired, i went to crash back after convincing myself that there’s non in my bed anymore. Woke later to use the BR, upon turning the lights so many crawling everywhere. I took photos. This place is not being cleaned or sanitized. Never book this hotel again and recommend to stay away .

Proceed with caution

This was the worst motel I have ever stayed at. There appears to be someone who might live in an unit permanently on the second floor walking past a room that seemed personally furnished. There are signs that prohibit prostitution Those are not the problem, just made me feel uncomfortable. The problem is I was given a room with so little water in the toilet reservoir it wouldn’t flush There is a tub if you want to soak, but there is no plug and the water faucet requires toggling to find the right temperature. Poorly maintained and not worth the discomfort of an odd environment with so many warning signs, eg, not responsible for theft in vehicles

Where to begin? This property is not suitable for anyone on Orbitz! The room was a dump. You had to pay a $10 deposit for the TV remote to start. When I arrived in Room #209, the only furniture was the bed, (2) nightstands, (2) worn down vinal covered chairs, and a very worn down table that I would have not put my items on. The only modern thing was the TV (about 3-4 years old). The vinal floors had cigarette burn marks, there were holes in the walls, and ceiling, and a major hole under the sink, exposing the pipping. The tile in the bath was cracked, chipped, and damaged. The sink was worn, and dirty. There were no lamps, or items to sit on except those chairs. The window had no screen and the central air wined when in use. The final straw was the COCKROACHES! In the bathroom and the room. My partner and I left after that and checked out early. I will definitely be contacting Orbitz Customer care to submit for a refund.
