  • You've never experienced a vista like this before! Welcome to Cove Watch, where you can enjoy unobstructed and unparalleled views of La Jolla's shoreline. Whether you post up near the charming side terrace or find a comfy spot near one of the large picture windows inside, the surrounding landscape will serve as a backdrop to your entire stay.

    Cove Watch has a private pool nestled in a charming courtyard area. There are plenty of plants and greenery for a sense of lushness, sun loungers, shaded seating, a poolside dining area, and a BBQ grill. You'll also find a romantic side terrace overlooking the city and sea. Take a quiet moment for yourself, or gather with friends and family in the lounge area near the firepit table for a cozy evening.

    Inside, you'll be met with elegant, luxury design and decor. The primary living area features a TV and fireplace, while the secondary sitting area offers plush chairs and another fireplace. The fully-equipped kitchen boasts an open design, with a full suite of appliances and barstool seating to supplement the 8 chairs available at the dining table. And no matter where you are in the common area, oversized windows ensure the ocean is never far from sight.

    Your group can spread out between four bright and airy bedrooms. The primary suite features a king bed with an ensuite bathroom and ocean views. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a shower area, but each has a private toilet area, and the entire bathroom space can be made private for each bedroom via a pocket door. The fourth bedroom offers direct access to the courtyard and pool with a twin-size daybed and additional trundle. There are even desks in many bedrooms for remote workers or those looking to be productive while relaxing.

    You'll be just a 4-minute drive to La Jolla Shores Beach. Enjoy being on top of the world while remaining close to all the area's dining, entertainment, and excitement. Downtown San Diego is just 20 minutes away.

    Home Truths:
    - Pool heat is available for an additional fee, but must be requested 72 hours before your stay. Please note that it takes a full day for the pool to be heated.
    - Please note that this home does not have AC.
    - This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000.
    - Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
    - You must be at least 25 years old to book this home.
    - Please be aware that late check-outs are not permitted.
    - Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
    - Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
    - While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
    - No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
    - All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

    Parking Details:
    - The garage is not available for guest use.
    - The driveway can accommodate 2 vehicles
    - Street parking is available.
    - Street cleaning occurs on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Cars parked on the west side will be ticketed and towed.
    - Kindly avoid parking in front of the mailboxes, as it may prevent mail delivery.

    This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

    As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

    Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

    There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

    As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

    IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

    We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

So very wonderful & pleasant!

AvantStay has done an incredible job of managing and taking care of this property. Communication and responsiveness was excellent and prompt. House itself was very clean, well maintained and stocked with high quality kitchenware and amenities. Fabulous views, firepit is a wonderful addition. All bedding was fresh, and clean as were the bath & beach towels. A memorable stay indeed and will book this property again!

Great View But...

We stayed at this property to celebrate my son's recent graduation. This was a blending of two families and we were excited about the 8 of us enjoying the open spaces and views. While this property did have all that, it also came with security cameras everywhere. This included common areas like fire pit (which worked intermittently) where we socialized, and even the pool area in the courtyard. This gave the experience a weird "Big Brother" vibe which was not mentioned in any of the booking materials. Additionally, the property is managed by an outside 3rd party which created extra costs and nameless communication.
