So much room! Lovely decorated, fantastic kitchen with every cookware item you could want. Fantastic detached game room (looks like a shed was fabulous inside). Yard was well kept and had a great sitting area.

Perfect stay in perfect location

Woodlands is a great property for a larger group or multiple families. We had plenty of space and really enjoyed how close it was to the mountains in glen shiel.

This was a darling house right off the road. It was so spacious can clean. It was a lovely stay and such a wonderful hub for our travels in Scotland. Highly recommend for friends or families.

Mountain walking and time with friends

Our second stay at this lovely property was excellent. Blessed with amazing weather, we climbed many hills, conquered the In Pinn on Skye, and paddle boarded and swam in the beautiful Loch Duich. The house is excellent, very comfortable and well equipped. Many thanks!

Wonderful stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this wonderful house. It was spotlessly clean, and the pictures simply don't do it justice. The rooms were incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and play. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the hills. Overall, a brilliant experience all around. Highly recommended!

Sehr einladend es Haus in traumhafter Umgebung

Unser Aufenthalt war rundum gelungen. Das Haus und die Vermieter haben uns sehr liebevoll empfangen. Alles nötige und viele nette Kleinigkeiten standen für uns bereit. Das Haus ist schön und zweckmäßig eingerichtet und bietet viel Komfort ( Spielscheune und Spiele, ausreichend gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten). Die Lage des Hauses ist wunderschön,mit einem tollen Ausblick auf die Highlands aus allen Fenstern. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wieder kommen.

Lovely place close to Skye

This was a great (and convenient!) base for exploring Skye and the northwestern Highlands - and would be perfect for a large group. The hostess was always immediately responsive and thoughtfully provided a great "goodie bag" of food and drink, the house and grounds were tidy and comfortable with all the mod cons (we thanked heaven for the clothes washer and dryer!). I had anticipated having to "rough it" in a relatively-remote area, but this was perfectly lovely. Highly recommended.

Nothing to complain about.

Large spacious and cosy house. Wonderful scenery around the village, the gateway to the Isle of Skye 20 minutes away, and what feels like the only chocolaterie in the whole of Scotland within walking distance. Of course, as almost everywhere in the Highlands, you should have a car with you, as public transport is not as frequent as you might be used to in cities.

Perfect for a walking party

Woodlands was perfect for our needs - six adult hillwalkers planning to climb the abundance of hills in Kintail. The property is very large, and all the bedrooms are a good size. The interior is somewhat dated, with kitchen and bathrooms all of the late 80's/ early 90's style, but functional and clean. The bathrooms have some quirks - one of them has a shower and toilet but no sink, another has a bath but no shower, but none of this detracted from our stay. Communication with the owners was very good. Highly recommended - would stay again

Pleasant Stay

The property is little concealed and may take a round to locate it behind the bushes. Susan was present when we arrived and she was extremely kind and friendly in showing us around the property. We were six adults. The kitchen is massive with a great table. The appliances and cookeries were sufficient and clean. The place is very private, though little traffic noise during the night times. The town for any serious groceries is 20 minutes. But is great location for people visiting Isle of Skye.

Beautiful Beyond the Pictures

We had a most lovely time at Susan and Moray's gorgeous home. The pictures do not do justice to its beauty. The kitchen is spacious, easy to navigate and perfectly appointed with everything you need. The bedrooms either have a sink in the room or an en-suite bath. The hallway bathtub is a dream. Couches are super comfy to hang out in and enjoy games by the fireplace. Only an hour to Isle of Skye and so much to do within 30 minutes or less: incredible trails, Eilean Donan Castle and delicious chocolate at the Glen Shiel Chocolate Shoppe less than 5 minutes away. Thanks so much for a wonderful place to rest and enjoy the beauty and history of the Highlands.

Das Haus ist sehr gut für eine große Familie. Auf den Bildern sieht es oso aus, als ob das Haus in ziemlich abgelegener Umgebung ist. Allerdings liegt es genau an der Hauptstraße. Dadurch kann es manchmal ziemlich laut werden und ein sitzen im Garten ist nicht angenehm. Aber ansonsten war alles super, sauber und perfekt. Der nächst größere Einkaufsladen ( Coop ) ist allerdings in Kyle was ca 30min weg ist. Es gibt aber kleinere Läden davor.

Amazing location

We chose this location, as it gave us access to the Kintail mountains and Fort William in one direction, and the Isle of Skye in the other. The home was very well maintained and offered us the flexibility of quiet outdoor space and an amazing floor plan inside. From the little goody basket Sue left us, to the use of 2 refrigerators and a washer/dyer, we had everything we needed for the week. The kitchen was the main dining area and we had plenty of seating. The bedrooms and baths were spread out and we never felt on top of each other. Sue was an amazing host and answered all our questions about the house and gave us so many tips on the area and places to stop on our way back to Inverness for our flights. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who is hiking in these areas or doing the site seeing (check out the ferry, not far from the house, that takes you over to the Isle of Skye). Thanks so much for making our stay a pleasurable and memorable one...

Perfecte vakantie

Het huis is een perfecte uitvalsbasis om Ilse of Skye te verkennen. Op amper 25 minuten rijden van Kyle of Lochalsh waar je de brug naar Skye overrijdt. Het prachtige Eilean Donna kasteel ligt op 20 minuutjes rijden. Je kan ook mooie wandelingen in de buurt maken en inkopen doen kan bij de Spar op 20 minuten rijden of de co-op op 25 minuten rijden. Een lokale “kruidenier” vind je op wandelafstand evenals het heel aangename “ pitstop@kintail”. Het huis is heel goed uitgerust met 5 ruime slaapkamers, 4 propere badkamers een goed uitgeruste grote keuken en een hele grote leefruimte. Overal ligt aangenaam zacht vast tapijt. In de tuin is een barbecue met alle nodige voorzieningen om dadelijk aan het werk te gaan. Twee grote tuintafels, twee tuinzetels en een voederplaats voor vogels,waar heel veel volk op afkwam, zorgen voor een gezellige tuin. Een basketring en bal en een tuinhuis met pooltafel, darts, kegelspel en petanque zorgen voor voldoende spelplezier. Due is een zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Er was een warm welkomstpakket voorzien en alle communicatie verliep vlot en amicaal. We zijn net een week terug thuis en hebben nu al heimwee.

Wonderful place to be !

This lovely house is situated not far away from the Skye bridge and therefore a wonderful place to start day journeys to Skye or other interesting places in the neighbourhood! The landlords are very friendly and helpful. It was a very successful holiday in a very nice holiday home. I'm sure that we will come back one day.
