Immaculate condo!

We have stay at the Kiahuna yearly since 2010. This condo is by far the nicest one we have ever stayed in. We will definitely be back! The entire condo has been remodeled. The "retro" style kitchen is very functional and charming. We really appreciated the air conditioning on both floors, especially since the weather was a bit warmer on this trip. The decor was very simple and didn't feel cluttered like a lot of the condos at this resort feel. I was blown away by how nice this condo is compared with the many others we have stayed in.

Outstanding Property!

My wife and I just finished our stay at this property. In short, every aspect of this beautiful condo is outstanding. Booking was easy, the pricing is fair, and the owner's communication with us exceeded anything we've experienced while renting many vacation properties over the years. Kiahuna Plantation at Poipu Beach is a stunning development. The buildings are well maintained, the grounds are landscaped beautifully, and the beachfront is exceptional. We walked the 5 minutes to the health club and used the gym and swimming pool amenities numerous days. The unit itself is the highlight. Its two floors provide substantial space. The furniture has been updated and the decorations are very attractive. The kitchen is well stocked and the new appliances with a vintage look are top notch. The king bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. We did not use the bunk beds in the second bedroom. We spent substantial time on the large patio on the second level, which looks into a beautiful banyan-like tree. The owner even had the foresight to include the top rated guide book on Kauai, which we used extensively. We look forward to returning to this terrific property. Two hints: for coffee, skip the long lines at the Little Fish Coffee Shop across the street--walk or drive the short distance to Eden Coffee--it's excellent; and two, Halukani Lanai restaurant is 25 to 30 minutes away--one of the best restaurants we've ever experienced. Beach House is very good; Duke's isn't.

Beautiful property

Stunningly beautiful! Poipu is the most gorgeous beach the Iland has. No reason to go anywhere else. The property is so beautiful & walking around there’s so many beautiful things to see. The pool was a hot spot for the younger teenagers! Everything is within walking distance which is really nice.

We enjoyed our time - family plus grandparents

We stayed here for a week and a half with grandparents and had a great time. The pool across the street was a hit (fun slide and great ‘beach’ zero depth entry) and the actual beach in front of the property was fun to play in the waves. We checked out the turtles on poipu beach and everything was within walking distance. The place was nice and I understand some updates are coming with the new owner! Will be wonderful I’m sure.

The weekend was too short!

After visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Maui for a week with my girlfriend and her husband, we all flew to Kauai for the weekend. I only wish we had more time. The condo was decorated beautifully and the great room area was very spacious. The pool, hot tub and gym across the street exceeded our expectations. I also loved having restaurants and shopping so close. We enjoyed a happy hour each evening on Poipu Beach watching the sea turtles sleep and also got to see an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal resting on the beach as well. Great location!

Family Vacation Getaway

We stayed here with older kids for a family vacation. The location was great, the space was nice. The only downside to the place was the living room furniture. It was a little uncomfortable to sit in the chairs and couch. The condo is just a short walk to the beach and nearby hotels. We had an amazing time there and it was a vacation to remember.

Amazing location and great property!

Great place to stay. Easy check in and checkout. Convenient location to the athletic club and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. There is also a great south facing reef break for surfing which was an awesome surprise!

Great spot for family Kauai trip

We had a great two-week stay at this property, which is conveniently located walking distance to several amenities and a couple beaches. Volker and Gina were very communicative and provided lots of good recommendations. Would definitely return!

AMAZING

My family and I had so much fun staying at the Kiahuna Plantation. It was the perfect location on the South Shore. We got to see Sea Turtles basking on the beach, a monk seal sunning itself and so much fish on Poipu beach. An added bonus, the Koala Plantation Days celebration was also happening during our stay, which added some neat free attractions. Thank you for your accommodations, we look forward to our return.

Just what we needed

thank you Volkner and Gina you place was just what we needed. Having breakfast out on the patio each morning woth a view of the big tree was so peaceful. Even though the place does not have central Ac, we found it comfortable at night. We found a surf board and 2 boogie boards in the closet. Along with 2 beach chairs and 2 beach umbrellas and a raft and fins. Thanks for keeping it simple! chill time in Kauai for sure!

Summer Vacation

Great Location. Great Amenities!

The Kiahuna Plantation was a wonderful location with easy access to it's own beachfront. Lounge chairs, towels, and ocean gear available to all guests. Our teenagers loved the Athletic Center across the street with the pool and very nice gym. The condo was very clean and had plenty of room for our family of five. The beautiful tree overlooking the lanais and the sound of the birds in the morning will never be forgotten. Volker and Gina were wonderful hosts with many great travel tips. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home away from home.

Great location

Super easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Beautiful property. The condo is nice and as advertised. Stayed for a family wedding at the Sheraton which was a 3 minute walk on a paved path. Worked out great. Gorgeous tree off the balcony. It IS a second floor walk up just FYI but not an issue for us.

Perfectly Wonderful

We enjoyed the most wonderful stay at this perfect condo at Kiahuna Beach! It exceeded our expectations. Beautiful open and airy with lovely cross breezes, gorgeous views from the lanai, spotlessly clean, fully stocked kitchen, we can’t say enough good things! We enjoyed listening to the surf and birds from the master bedroom in the early mornings, and the beach is a very short lovely walk through the spectacular gardens. Poipu Athletic Club was terrific. Our kids and my husband and I loved the gym, pool, tennis courts and everything else they had to offer. Kiahuna Beach is postcard pretty and is perfect for families. I especially enjoyed the paved walkways along the beach through the various resorts. Coffee shops, restaurants and shopping are just a short walk across the road. Our hosts, Volker and Gina were so helpful, friendly, generous and had terrific advice. We were so lucky to have stayed in their home away from home on beautiful Kaua’i and are already dreaming about our next visit and hope we can stay here again!

Terrific Stay at Volker and Gina's Condo

From start to finish we had a wonderful week at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort at Volker and Gina's condo! Volker was so easy to work with and answered all our questions and more during the booking process and right through our check-in. He gave us many great tips about restaurants and places to shop for food. The condo was clean, tidy and easy check-in and check-out process. The whole family slept great every night on the comfortable beds. The condo had everything we needed for a wonderful time and we can't wait to return!
