Great place even in iffy weather

If you want to be at OBX but not next to the beach, this is a charming house for a family to call home for a week. A short, easy drive to the Kitty Hawk Beach House access and centrally located on OBX (near several good restaurants north or south from access). Tucked away in quiet neighborhood with a hot tub and screened porch, and there is room to relax or play games if rainy.

OBX

Super clean! Great for kids! Cozy and away from the main strip and traffic! Some of the photos were not accurate (there is not really a booth like table in the kitchen area as a photo displays, which we were hoping to use for our larger family, but we made it work)- but otherwise the home was great!

Family Vacation

Second time staying here. It was as wonderful as the first! Everything was very clean as always. Took a couple of day trips this time cause the weather didn't cooperate as we would have liked. Very nice house and would highly recommend!!

Great quiet location in OBX

Overall we had a great stay. It started out a little rocky when we were getting ready for bed and discovered there were no sheets on the master bed. We looked high and low and finally found them in the washing machine still wet. Other than that the house was great. Backyard is also a staging area for a landscaping company so that was a bit unexpected, but wasn’t a problem. Hot tub was a really nice feature that we enjoyed daily.

First time in OBX

We had a wonderful time in Outer Banks. This property was absolutely beautiful! It had all the amenities of home. The owner was quick to respond to questions. Great location. About 10 min drive to beach. Very helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants in the welcome book. Overall an amazing stay and can't wait to come back next year!!

Annie's Bachelorette Party!

We had a wonderful stay here in Kitty Hawk! The property was perfect as well as the location. The home was stocked with everything we needed which was an amazing bonus. It was a great amount of space to play games and celebrate our wonderful bride to be! I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to travel to OBX!!

Amazing place to stay in Outer Banks

This is one of the best rentals I have stayed at. It’s a 10 mins drive from the beach in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house is equipped with everything you would want for a rental. It’s awesome how the owners have put so much thought into it. From the beach towels to the kids toys, it felt like a home away from home, especially for our two young children who had a blast. We also loved the decor of the house. Special shout out to the restaurant recommendations, we didn’t have to search for any and most of them were amazing. Lindsey was also very responsive and was generous to loan us a beach umbrella during our stay! We hope to be back sometime next year :-)

Charming, Quiet Hub

The Ivy House was everything and more that we expected—a slightly off the beaten path, low-key rental for a long weekend. It’s immaculately clean, and communication with Lindsey was fast and easy. She has thought of everything you need to get started without having to run right out to the grocery store. The beds were soooo comfy; we left wanting to buy the same mattresses for our beds at home. The master shower is phenomenal- best of any rental we’ve ever stayed in across 15+ years of vacations. If you’re looking for an efficient hub by day and quiet place to crash in the evenings…this property is a great option.

Everything was beyond expectations

The ivy house is wonderful. Me and my wife stayed for our anniversary and couldn’t ask for anything better. The master shower is tremendous. Absolutely nothing bad to say at all. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again

Girls Getaway

We had a comfortable stay. Lindsay was helpful and easy to communicate with. She let us know to contact her if we needed anything. There were 6 of us, and we had plenty of room. The property was an easy drive to beaches, shops, and restaurants. We loved the Outer Banks.

Kitty Hawk? Come Again!

This charming home located just 8 minutes from the beach was the perfect stay. The home was very comfortable for a friends and family trip. (It's even kid and baby friendly) Our host Lindsey was extremely accommodating and considered everything to make our stay warm and enjoyable. She was unbelievably responsive and attentive to any request we had before and during our stay in her home. The house has a hot tub, grill, all of the kitchen appliances you can think of and lots beach towels. I would highly recommend this home for a beach get-a-way!
