"Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. Its location is nothing short of spectacular and the 360 views are breathtaking. Hosts Craig and Paul were so warm and welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge about the local area. "Fully renovated rooms above the bar and bistro in the centre of town. Parking at rear could be a problem but we snared the last spot at the time on arrival. Staff were most helpful and changed our allicated riom to the rear and not above the bar. Most appreciated. Good use of space in rooms with kitchenette facilities including stovetop hotplates but no utensils for their use. Good ensuite space. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great bar and bistro downstairs for an easy relaxing evening."

"Spacious cabin.Bur the Gas had run out so we had No Hot water or able to use the stove top.Very disappointing considering we had paid $248.50 for the night.The caretaker really didn't care.His response was its out of our control when the gas runs out.No offer for any compensation.."
