"Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"We had a great time in the Decca- the former radio navigation station in the very northwest of the Isle of Lewis. It is just some steps of the Butt of Lewis, where there is an amazing landscape with a lot of beautiful sheep."

"Unser Urlaub war herrlich, Das Haus war super sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet (zum Beispiel selbst aufgenommene Fotos der Region, sehr passend und stimmig). Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich, morgens weckt einen (wenn man die Vorhänge nicht zu zieht) der Sonnenaufgang über der Bucht. Die Lage in Südlewis erscheint uns allen als Beste auf der ganzen Insel, Grade die Bucht von Uig ist wunderschön, nur ein richtiger Pub hat gefehlt. Übrigens war dies der erste Urlaub, bei dem ich weinen müsste,...

"Excellent host - not intrusive but keen to help where able. The property is clean and welcoming and provides a good base to explore Lewis (and Harris) Good easy walks available locally from the property but also a good site from which to experience the island (I cannot vouch for the public transport situation)"

"Good location for exploring Lewis and Harris. Liked the walk out of the garden up the hill to the bay and along the hills. Cuckoo was very active! Saw evidence of otters and saw seals."

"Traditional island cottage with everything you need for a home to home stay. Very clean and well presented, comfy beds too, always a bonus. Situated at the north end of Lewis it’s quite remote but amazingly peaceful. Limited places to eat out and you need to book well ahead but the local restaurant does takeaway in the evenings and it’s two minutes away in a beautiful setting above the harbour and beach.
