  • With wonderful views over Loch Ness, this holiday apartment is ideal for walkers, with the Great Glen Way being close by.. All on the Ground Floor:

    Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. External utility room with tumble dryer. Small lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Situated only a mile from the village of Drumnadrochit and with wonderful views over Loch Ness, this charming, self contained holiday apartment is on the ground floor of Temple Pier House, an impressive listed building set above the road along the side of the loch. The house retains many original features including small paned windows. Perfect for couples who want a comfortable hideaway with a private hedged garden. Great for walkers, there are many tracks to explore from the doorstep including the Great Glen Way which passes close and continues all the way to Inverness. A boat trip on the loch is a must for a spot of ‘Nessie Hunting’. The charming village of Drumnadrochit has good restaurants, a small but well stocked grocery store, a post office and a bank that opens occasionally. The bright lights of the city of Inverness, 12 miles, offer a superb choice of restaurants, boutiques, museums, and beautiful riverside pathways, with the imposing Inverness Castle, now the city’s courthouse, the impressive St. Andrew’s cathedral and the award winning Eden Court Theatre. Centrally located, this makes an ideal base to access all of the magnificent Highlands. Skye, Fort William and the West Coast of Scotland are within a couple of hours’ drive and the road through Inverness goes onto the A9 and then north to Sutherland or south to Aviemore and further to Perthshire. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

We had a wonderful time at Temple House.

We had a wonderful time at Temple House. It is a really lovely place in a fabulous location overlooking Loch Ness. The owners are lovely, so welcoming and very helpful. It is well equipped and extremely comfortable. The views from the garden over Loch Ness are magnificent and the Great Glen Way is accessible from the garden. We all had a really relaxing few days , including the doggies and will definitely be coming back.

Temple House West is a very comfortable, warm and well-appointed cottage wherein we felt immediately at home. The interior is tastefully and appropriately furnished and we had everything we needed for our stay. One of the most notable points about this lovely cottage is the view – from the sitting room and main bedroom you can see right across Loch Ness to Urquhart Castle which is probably one of the loch’s most well-known viewpoints. The light constantly changes on the water and the sky and there was always something new to look at. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Temple House West and enjoyed meeting our hosts who were very helpful. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely view of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, especially at night. Comfortable and well equipped cottage, ideal base for touring The Highlands. If you take a dog, check the gate in the hedge is closed as there is a drop onto the busy main road, and the garden is not enclosed.

Friendly host and comfortable cottage. Stunning location with lots of walks - a couple of miles from the main village centre which has a couple of pubs, chemist, a large co-op, and a deli so it was easy to pick up supplies. Brought our dog with us - we had to be aware that the garden is not fully enclosed but apart from that, there were no issues.

A lovely little place very peaceful and great position to sit outside and take in the views. The owners are lovely people and on our stay they where always there if needed. We were out all day though and only really stayed inside for a little breakfast before heading out and then at night planned our next day so the cottage had everything we needed as a base

Andy, William, Bilbo (dog) and I enjoyed a wonderful week at Temple House West. We received a warm and courteous welcome by the owner and felt at home immediately. Temple House West is a quaint, endearing and appropriate cottage located within moments of Loch Ness...fabulous to be able to see this loch upon wakening each morning. Ideally situated for dog walks with a marvellous nature trail close by. Cannot fault this accommodation.
