Attempted Fraud
The day of check in I messaged the property owner to gain access. This is after I have fully paid, mind you. She answered her phone and seemed surprised. She hurriedly looked through emails to see that I in fact booked her place in Incline Village. Problem is her husband and so were there. She asked me for 30 minutes to make things right. I called 30 minutes later, and as the phone was ringing she cancelled the property due to “maintenance issues” and sent me a message that VRBO would re-book me. They don’t. She would not answer her phone. I traveled three time zones. If I had not fought VRBO to get credit she would have deceived me for financial gain. Absolutely horrible. 4 calls to VRBO to get things straightened out and proper credit, too. I’ve used VRBO for years, and this burn has really done it. AVOID THIS PROPERTY.
