Don't expect much if you book this property.

Although fairly clean and in a good location to the beach and surrounding areas, this rental property is very no frills. It is lacking some very fundamental things you would expect at a rental house, especially one at the beach. Kitchen is very small, lacking things like a coffee maker. Very few dishes and silverware. The house offers nothing for the beach other than a private walkway t the sand. No umbrella, toys, chairs, wagon to pull your stuff that you had to bring or buy to use. Bathroom is small, shower door is very wonky, and the hot water lasts about 4-5 mins so don't expect to be able to take showers back-to-back or for any length. No extra blankets for the small bedrooms. Location wise - it is close to a lot of things: restaurants, shopping, etc. Beach is very nice...not too many shells so easy walking.

On the beach

Great location on the beach and walking distance to shopping and trolley stop. Unit needs a good cleaning and upgrade of appliances, and mattress replacement. Management responsiveness was very good.

Location, location, location

The place was fairly small, but it didn't matter because we were hardly there! The beach is steps and it's beautiful. Lots of everything you need close by too. We will go back again!

Loved the location

The little house was nice. The toilet seat was cracked and I called and it was fixed right away. A couple internet and tv issues but resolved quickly. Overall nice place to stay.

Summer 2021

This property was perfectly located on the beach! The kids loved the easy access to the water. Anna Maria island is quiet and we loved being out of the hustle of a touristy town. Only wished they had some basic cooking supplies. We have rented a lot of VRBOs and never have I had to purchase every single thing. (Salt, pepper, Tupperware, spices, etc)

Incredibly dirty. No response from Vacassa

We’ve rented on AMI for years and wanted a beach front location. The house is wonderfully located, quaint and walkable to a strip mall with ice cream...but that’s the end of the good. We arrived about 30 min early, checked and the house was unlocked. Upon entry it was clear the place had not been cleaned and likely had a large fraternity before us. Mind you, this is a two bedroom. We washed the comforters which were covered in sand and stains. Gross, gross, gross... We ended up washing everything and considered buying new sheets. I just can’t express how disgusting this place is. Great location.

Great place to stay right on the beach,

My family stayed for 7 days the week after Labor Day 12th - 19th 2020. Right as Tropical storm Sally was going by Lol, but had beautiful weather a few days after we got there. Very clean. Beautiful beach with white sands right off the back yard. All the beds we clean but very uncomfortable for lengthy stay like we did. Owner needS to spend the money on good soft nice hotel beds and it would have been perfect. But if your staying for weekend, it’s fine. We rented a golf cart for the week took us anywhere we needed. They are street legal there. Great food nearby, grocery store, dollar store and shopping just around the corner. Washer and dryer in unit, was nice to have handy. We ate in as well. Cooked meals. Full Kitchen has pots pans glasses silver wear coffee pot etc. Highly recommend, but highly recommend owners get new beds.

Easy beach access!

We just left this cozy spot right on the beach and had a very relaxing stay. We mostly ordered takeout meals and ate them on the screened in porch. We read every morning out back while drinking our coffee. It’s a short walk to the beach via your private walkway. The beach was never overly crowded. It was great having an outdoor shower and laundry. The only less desirable part of this place is the living area is very small. Couch seats two and there’s one other chair. For a family of four, it was cramped hanging out in the evenings. But we spent most of our time at the beach anyway.

Clean and right on beach

Very clean. Really only for a family with 2 kids, otherwise it would be small. Pros: close to beach, essential stores close, washer and dryer included. Cons: reported broken equipment (patio chair and grill) on day of arrival (Saturday) no response until Thursday. When it rains, back porch floods. Would stay there again.

A basic little spot in a perfect location

The location is perfect! A short walk out the back door to a wide, clean, uncrowded beach; walking distance to the grocery store; a short drive to several good restaurants and a public golf course. Vacasa, the management company, does an excellent job. Check-in and -out were flawless, and they were very responsive to any minor issues we had. The unit itself is comfortable. The keypad on the front door doesn’t appear to work, but the key itself works just fine. The kitchen is not a “cook’s kitchen.” The cooking/serving equipment is in good condition, clean, but very limited. Nevertheless, it’s a nice little vacation spot.

Lovely little house

Renting was easy. Entrance to the house was a little confusing. Was given a code through email but it didnt work. Was also told to pick up keys so had to call and go pick up keys which was no problem but would have liked to know that prior. Other than that, very clean very private, right on the beach. Kitchen could be stocked with a few more beach friendly dishes. The starter travels size shampoos, soaps, etc was so nice.

Great location and place.

I’m giving the place 4 stars because there a few thing that could be added to make this place awesome! It only has 6 bath towels, and 3 beach towels. We had 5 guest and had to wash a load everyday. You just can’t keep the sand off everything. Also, they only give one roll of toilet paper, laundry soap, paper towels, and dish detergent. So you have to go to the store first thing of your vacation to make sure you don’t run out of toilet paper. Also, there are no mats to dry your feet off when you come in with freshly rinsed feet.

Fantastic Location!

Back door to water is literally 150 yards. The beach is quiet and beautiful! Just a very short walk to grocery, shopping and the best pizza in the island (Solo's). It is a nice cottage and the property management company was very responsive to the issues that came up. Great place to stay for our small family!

Great location

My family stayed in the unit for 8 nights during Christmas. The location is great. My family enjoyed the beach and seeing the sunset. The unit is clean. We can see the owner/property manager did some work recently to make it nicer. But there're still a few issues. First I arrived at night and the code I got from the email doesn't work. I have to call the on call number and got a different code which allowed me to enter the property. Note the on call number is not included the notification email. I'm glad I called the regular number a few days before arrive to get the on call number. Otherwise I could ended up not able to enter the property that night. There're a few issues like AC/Furnace not working, some kitchen lights not working. The hose in the back yard not working. These are actually fixed during my stay after I called the property management a few times.Still there're couple of things I think the property need to address: 1. The queen size bed in the master bedroom is very shaky and the mattress is really not good. I talked to the maintenance person and he said will need property owner to approve. I hope this can be taken cared of for future tenants. 2. The grill in the backyard are not in good shape. The maintenance person said they will get new ones. 3. I will suggest the property manager pub a welcome notes to give information around the local area. I had to call to find out which day to put out the trash. The weather is pretty nice during our stay but the water is too cold to swim. But that is not the fault of the property.

The what we expected in accommodations

When arrived to location with the driveway and yard was flooded from a earlier rain storm ( but water still was there when we left after only staying two of our three nights) we entered finding died worms at three door locations. First night heading to bed the frame broke and fell to the floor after several hours we manage to propped up the bed frame to laid down and finally fall asleep. There was wear on furnishings and house walls and floors in different areas. Few broken and rusted chairs outside. The bar-b-Q was falling apart and weathered. Pathway to the beach we had to remove and clean debris left from storms or just poor maintenance. The views and beach was great. Overall we should have ever give it a star, but we left a day early to the discomfort of the bed and just not pleased, the experience was unexpected associated with the cost we paid. We probably will not book another place till we are sure it is in a better condition. Jeff Sherron
