"Great place to stay right in the heart of Hilo. Whaler's Inn earns its name; part of the enjoyment of staying here is discovering all the little nautical details throughout the house. For example, the drainer basket in the kitchen sink has a little whale on it; later in the stay, I noticed that the TP dispenser was a whale's tail. Very fun, and always in good taste. Recommended."

"We recently returned from spending a week at this wonderful property. It is within a 5-minute drive to downtown Hilo with its many restaurants and shops. "Had a great stay here, perfect size for my wife and I, clean place, host was great. Liked the layout, having everything combined in one room, except the bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. There was a lot of extra food and kitchen supplies left there from previous guests that we were able to use as well.
