Our stay at Sacristy was very enjoyable. The accommodation was luxurious, the bed was comfy and kitchen well equipped.
We were staying for our honey moon, for relaxation, and we certainly achieved this.
It was very peaceful and quiet. There is a walk when you turn left out of the drive which takes you along the loch and through some fields which had lambs running around as we visited in spring time.
If you are looking for a good restaurant the only ones we found which didn't serve microwavable food was Caledonian canal cafe and Beaufort Hotel which does a great pizza.
Our host was great and she was quick to reply to any questions I had.
I would highly recommend the Sacristy for children as well. I saw baby monitors in the cupboard, children's cutlery, games to play etc.which are all nice added extras.
Outside our window we often saw pheasants, rabbits and ducks.
The pool is small but warm, clean and modern.
The sauna and steam take a few mins to warm up but are worth a visit.
The gym once found, easiest entrance is from outside, (next to cottages) is adequate.
The snooker room has giant connect four and a chess board. Lots of books and some puzzles as well as a pool and snooker table.
We would happily return to stay here but maybe be prepared to cook in house unless out and about for the day.
