Home away from home
Exactly what we were hoping for. Remote location nestled in trees and nature but a short drive to town. The house had all the amenities we needed with a convenient layout and gorgeous views.

Excellent little hideaway!
This was a perfect little getaway for my partner and I with our little golden doodle. It was clean, bright, quiet, and had marvelous views of the sunrise. The smell of the fall leaves and trees was enhanced by the light rains we received while there for the last day or so. Really appreciate the full ice trays when we arrived! Didn’t have the opportunity to use the wood burning stove but there was plenty of wood had we decided to do so.

Remote but close to town
The cabin was clean, nice, and remote, yet only 3 miles from Highway 285 and 5 miles from Fairplay and Prather's grocery store. The online photos make the interior rooms look larger than they are but the size of the cabin was still perfect for the two of us. The air is very dry in Colorado! We had to go to the local Ace Hardware store and buy a humidifier so we could sleep better. Most of the windows do not have curtains so curtains would be a nice addition. We didn't want to rent a cabin up in the mountains because we were towing a side by side off road vehicle therefore we appreciated the level driveway. We enjoyed the open view of the plains, sunrises and sunsets, and the deer who visited us in the driveway on our second evening there!

Relaxing Oasis
Quiet, roomy, comfortable home. Was advertised as not having a dishwasher, so I was thrilled when we arrived, and it had one! We had a water leak in the bathroom the first day we were there that could have ruined the trip, or at least caused us some inconvenience...but we were thrilled to have a kind handy man come fix the problem immediately. We loved the quiet area and spotted deer, elk and even a moose in the neighborhood at the end of our 2nd day. A great experience, and we might have enjoyed the outdoor seating if the mosquitoes weren't so thick, and the grass had been trimmed some. It is a lovely home, and we needed a place to relax...and this was definitely it. Slept with the windows cracked each evening and it got wonderfully cool.

Great spot!
we had a great time at this cabin! So many trails within a short distance and the cabin was great for us. (3 adults and dogs). Cabin was very accommodating and the emails received before the trip were so helpful to help find things to do/see as well as make a plan for grocery shopping etc. Sunrises/sunsets from the cabin were amazing. No issues at all and would absolutely go back!

Great stay!
We stayed here for a snowboarding trip. It was a wonderful, clean property with everything we needed. More of a secluded location but this makes for the perfect getaway.

Great Cabin to Escape Too
Great cabin to escape too! Out on in the plains on the edge of the mountains. Mountain View’s! Perfect place to escape from society and sit by the wood fireplace. Pet friendly place allowed us to bring our 2 dogs. We loved our stay and would stay there again.

Peaceful Cabin Stay

Overall a very nice stay
We had a nice stay at this house in FairPlay. It was convenient place to get to town. The house was nice and had everything that we needed so there is nothing really to take away from the house. It was indeed quite comfortable. The only thing that I would probably say is some of the surrounding homes in this neighborhood were not quite as nice. Some of the homes had many abandoned cars parked in their front lawn and it made the location a bit unappealing. We also went for long walks around the surroundings streets, but there was not much to see. If we wanted to hike a mountain, we had to drive to it because there is really not much around the location of the home. But again the house truly offers great value for the area. We fell in love with some parts of Fairplay’s scenery and will surely come back.

Great Cabin in the woods!
We loved this little cabin. We had two teenagers with us as well as 2 small dogs. Plenty of space, our dogs loved walking the property! We enjoyed the board games and puzzle as well as local shopping and hiking. Breckinridge is a 30-40 minute drive, we also recommend Buena Vista as well. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Great!
Cabin was perfect for our mountain getaway. It was well kept and clean. Fairplay is a cute town and we had easy drives to surrounding passes and exploring.

Much needed mid-week retreat
We had a lovely couple of days at the cabin, and were thankful for the wood stove as it was snowing while we were there and a little chilly! However there weren’t instructions on which was the damper and which was the controller so we had to do some digging online (with the super WiFi!) and figured it out. Loved the little touches that made it obvious families and pups were welcome, dog dishes, and games for adults and kids! One thing of note was there were a couple neighborhood dogs that wandered through the yard occasionally so keep that in mind if you bring dogs. Overall, a very relaxing, fun-filled stay!

Great cozy cabin
We rented the property for a month and loved our stay at the property. The cabin was better than expected, with some additional furnishings since the photos were taken. There was an additional couch downstairs and a large TV upstairs. The internet was sufficient for the two of us working throughout our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with essentials and we especially loved the fireplace in the early mornings and evenings. The large windows produce a lot of heat during the day, creating significant temperature fluctuations throughout the day but we were able to resolve by cracking the windows and doors during those times. The property management company was always available to provide additional information and went above and beyond for a few small requests we had. FairPlay was a nice little town with a few fun bars and nice restaurants, not too far from Breckinridge and a few other big ski mountains.

Great cabin, even better land. Just wish there was a map of the property, we were nervous to venture out for fear of trespassing on others property.

Great place!!
Enjoyed our stay. Place was clean and met our needs. We commuted to BV Several days, so it was a lot of driving but traffic was light and scenery is great. We had four people at times and the single bathroom can be a challenge but we survived it. Thanks for a great stay!!

Birthday get away from Florida
Stayed here first 2 nights of the trip. Listing is exactly as it appears in photos. Wanted to get away from busy every day life and this place was perfect. Fairplay is a great quiet little gem of a town. The hiking trail up the road from the house were excellent. Would for sure recommend a larger SUV or truck when visiting here. House was very welcoming and felt like home. The back porch was nice to sit out on each evening. Burn ban was in place so no fire was able to be done, but horse shoes were still fun. No ac but we kept windows open and it was nice to have a breeze going thru the house. Love this place and will certainly be returning.

Quaint Cabin Beautiful Views
