Personal amable, habitación sencilla, pero relativamente cómoda. Asa de la ventana rota (abierta por fuerza toda la noche en planta baja, a pesar de la advertencia de robos indicada en la misma ventana), pelos en la ducha.

Repitiendo por segunda vez
Es el segundo año y sin duda seguiría repitiendo. Un lugar tranquilo y habitaciones cómodas. Aún compartiendo baño hay bastantes. Al ser residencia universitaria se respira un ambiente singular. La única pega es que esta un poco alejado del centro aún así hay varios autobuses que te llevan y pasan con mucha frecuencia o si lo prefieres es un paseo agradable de 20 -30 minutos que te permite ver más a fondo la ciudad. En desayuno es buffet variado y grande, tiene un mini supermercado y un bar/restaurante.

No es un hotel es una residencia de estudiantes y como tal las habitaciones son pequeñas, las camas en lo justo de la comodidad y la limpieza de la habitación horrible. En cinco noches no limpiaron el cuarto de baño.

Pollock Halls: Una buena opción en Edimburgo
Aunque el emplazamiento del hotel no es el mejor, la impresión en general ha sido excelente. Limpieza y tranquilidad. El buffet de desayuno es muy variado y cumple todas tus expectativas. Pollock Halls es un sitio tranquilo, seguro y que cuenta con todas las comodidades. La mejor relación calidad/precio!

Nice hotel near Arthur's Seat
Quiet location, great surroundings and incredible breakfast. The only disadvantage is the walking distance (20 -25 min) to the city center, easily overcome by using public transport. The staff was friendly and the cleanliness of the room acceptable. Common rooms provided with microwave and other appliances. Young & sporty atmosphere.

Es un alojamiento cercano al centro de la ciudad
Esta bien situado con parking propio , es agradable y bastante comodo.su desayuno buffet es abundante y variado, aunque lo peor es la limpieza, que es justa y no cambian las sabanas, por lo demas es un sitio donde aconsejarlo para pasar unos dias en Edimburgo

Trato muy amable, hotel y habitación excelente, aun compartiendo baño nunca me encontre con nadie. todo muy limpio. un poco alejado del cetro,20 o 30 minutos a pie bastante amenos o buena combinación en bus. Desayuno bufet completo.

Good place, but they need to replace mattresses
The mattress in the room is a complete nightmare, full of springs sticking out. Very bad two nights trying to sleep. The whole point of booking a hotel is to have a place to rest. Without that, everything else (low price, high service, good wifi, clean place...) is pointless. They should spend a little money to buy new mattresses.

Staff friendly, helpful and responsive. Room and facilities clean. Parking secure and convenient. Breakfast convenient and plentiful, great to have so many options, including traditional Scottish. Canteen style works for the setting. Rooms basic but as expected, as is the overall stay. Would stay here again for the value and practically.

A standard private dorm room set up w/ a bit of wear & tear & a fiddly door lock, but clean & comfortable. A sink in the room was a plus, as were the multiple shower/bathrooms available on the floor. The 24 hr front desk staff were always very helpful & friendly, the luggage storage convenient. The included breakfast was great with lots of choice. The grounds were lovely & well tended, & the view of Arthur’s Seat & Salisbury Crags in Holyrood Park (only a 10 min walk away), was exceptional. There were several Fringe venues in easy walking distance, & bus stops close if needed. Would definitely book here again in the future as it was perfect for my Fringe Festival attending needs.

Great way to travel on a budget. Though a shared WC not everyone’s cup of tea, I found it to be free when I needed it and it wasn’t a problem. Also the fact that it’s a room meant to house someone for a few months at a time means it’s at a base level quite comfortable and roomy. Breakfast is also pretty good! Pollock Halls dorms are a 25-30 min walk to Waverly train station, 15-20 min walk to the Royal Mile and a bit closer to Fringe venues. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay!
Summer Stays - or, Pollock Halls, as I know it - always does its visitors proud. I've been d"doing" the Fringe for years and this must be one of the cheapest stays in Edinburgh during August. The place, as usual, this year was immaculate. The greeting staff are amazingly friendly and patient with the thousands who turn up on their doorstep. The place does its best to be eco-friendly, even with the great, inclusive, breakfast and the variety of different level of rooms to choose from (if you book early enough) must suit all pockets. OK it's not Princes Street or the Royal Mile - but they're all close at hand and the brooding presence of Arthur's Seat (hill/mountain) is right on the doorstep if you fancy a fitness challenge. The staff - from the kitchens to the gardens and beyond do the place proud. Thanks for a great stay!

My only complaint is about the room. All other aspects were good especially the breakfast. The beds were clean and comfortable the bathroom was clean but the shower cubicle was poorly maintained. The carpets were just filthy and unhoovered with food under the bed. For the price we paid I was not happy

버스나 택시로 20분이내에 중심가에 갈수있어 편함.아침식사도 좋았으나, 샤워기 물세기가 약해서 불편했음.뒷쪽 홀리루드 공원산책로를 따라 30분정도 올라가면 절벽위에서 시내전체와 반대편 북해 전망을 시원하게 감상할 수 있어 좋았음.

学生寮はホテルとは違う
口コミでは高い評価であったが、やはり学生寮は学生寮だと思った。シャワー室は清潔感に欠け、ドアがうまくしまらなかった。また６日間（5泊）の滞在中部屋の掃除はなく、ゴミ箱もタオルもコーヒーカップも自分たちで片づけるというシステムで、ホテルとの違いを認識した。口コミには朝ご飯が豪華と書いてあったが、品数はそれほど多くなく、最後は飽きてきた。エジンバラフェスティバルと時期が重なっていたため、料金（日本円でツイン1泊152ポンド）は高いと感じた。今回は4ヶ月前の予約だったが、次回はもっと早くに市内のB&Bを予約しようと思う。

Die Unterkunft ist schon etwas abgewohnt und die Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen. Egal, alles war sehr sauber, die Rezeption 24 Std besetzt. Eine Bushaltestelle ist um die Ecke, man ist mit dem Bus ganz schnell im Zentrum ist. Frühstück wurde immer wieder aufgefüllt und der Cappuchino war lecker. Schicker geht immer, aber braucht man das? Wir waren den ganzen Tag unterwegs. Ich habe hervorragend geschlafen und das ist für mich das wichtigste. Fazit ich komme wieder. Fand es toll

Friendly environment, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very rich. The room was good, but clearly it was normally used by students (e.g. chair upholstery was dirty). If I have the chance, I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Check in staff were excellent. Room was dirty (coffee and tea set up-spoons and cups dirty), table surfaces, floors, sinks not clean. Tiles off in shower and drain plugged which lead to near flood of room as shower floor is continues with entire bathroom floor.
