This is a 5BR/5BA property. One of the bedrooms is a separate carriage house with bath. The other 4 bedrooms and baths are in the main house. There is a big main living area with seating, large dining table that will seat 10, plus a huge, well-equipped open kitchen.
Every room is beautifully decorated in a minimalist fashion that is warm and comfortable.
The furniture, decor and finishes are high-end, which is a great indication that this house is the owner's dream house, not simply an investment property. To me, this makes it feel like I'm a guest of friends at a really nice house, not simply a renter.
There is also a great game room in the basement with an arcade game, foosball, and a selection of board games. There are big screen TVs throughout the house with good Internet service to watch whatever streaming services you have.
The outdoor spaces are spectacular. First, the lot gently slopes toward the water, making it ideal for the elderly or people with mobility issues. There is a large deck off the main level with a huge dining table, large gas grill, and comfortable seating area. Under the main deck is a basement-level covered patio with a ton of seating.
The yard is gorgeous, with comfortable seating and a nice firepit.
Walk 20-30 yards to the water and large dock. There is a floating mat large enough to hold 4-5 people easily. The swimming area is in a cove away from boat traffic in the main channel of the lake.
The boat, also available for rental, is fantastic. It's a 24' tritoon with a bimini top and comfortable seating. It comes with all the safety gear you need: fire extinguisher, throwable cushion, and life vests in a variety of sizes. In addition, the boat is equipped with good electronics that include charting, downscan and echo fishfinder, etc.
There is also a selection of water toys (towable, kayaks, etc.) to add some variety to your days on the water.
If you choose to bring your own boat, there is plenty of room and cleats to tie it up to the dock. We brought a fishing kayak. It was easy to launch and recover from the dock.
Finally, and perhaps most important, the owner and the property manager were both incredibly responsive. Every question was answered quickly, thoroughly and politely.
We have stayed at a number of vacation rental properties. This is among our favorites. I highly recommend this property!
