1. Cosy Shepherds Hut Getaway in East Lothian

Cosy Shepherds Hut Getaway in East Lothian
East Lothian
9.4 de 10, Excepcional, (3 opiniones)
"We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut and the views were amazing. The only disappointment was that there was no welcome pack providing instruction on how things worked. There was also no telephone contact details in case of any issues, etc. When we arrived there was not hot water and it was only by trial and error that we managed to find out that the gas bottle was empty, luckily the other bottle was full and I was aware how to manually change them over. We did send messages asking for...

Stunning Stables Cottage in East Lothian Country Estate

"Property was tidy, simple and fairly straightforward in terms of settling in. Once we figured out the heating - no instructions - we got the place warm. An excellent wood burner really made the lounge - plus bringing in two bedside lights for ambient lighting - and was generously supplied with kindling and wood. The walks around the property and up into the woods were ideal for dog walks. The kitchen was pleasant, functional and suitably kitted out, although the fluorescent striplighting was...

"The location is exceptional as it is in town and wonderful views. The house is very clean and lots of room. This would be perfect for a family or group of golfers. The property manager was helpful with the washing machine. It is not luxury, it is a little more spartan but charming. I would definitely come back."

"The caravan was obviously well loved, but now dated and fairly tatty which made it feel grubby. The biggest issue though was lack of clean sheets etc despite contacting the host. We didn’t have enough and my request was ignored. I’ve had to use mattress protectors for sheets and uncovered duvets. One of which had a nasty stain and mould - horrible! We did let the host know how many of us were staying prior to us arriving. There was some rubbish left over from previous guests that should have...

Walking to the train was easy, about 10 minutes. Walking to the store, restaurants, and beach were easy and not far at all. Adorable neighborhood with friendly locals. "Hated writing this one. Were huge on not caring too much about overall condition and usually go based on price concern with a balance of convenience, quiet and cleanliness. Great place if you can actually get it cheap and just need it a night or two. TONS of stairs, don’t book if you have a bunch of luggage or are by yourself and have several pieces to carry. Looks like the water stain thing isn’t actually new like we were lead to believe and with how bad it is, and the earthy smell in the...

"This was a beautiful apartment to stay in, with the perfect mix of historic charm and fresh, modern finishes. We did have a mix-up with our booking, as the room was reserved for three people but didn’t have a sleeping option for the third guest. However, reception responded quickly and made things right, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely stay here again."
