"Just the perfect retreat! The house was delightful, comfortable and well appointed. We loved how secluded the property was and having a private beach to explore was fantastic. Our dogs loved the woods and playing on the river!The owner was so nice, easy to communicate with and gave excellent tips to make our stay even more memorable. We highly recommend a stay at Analog and hope to book again sometime."

"The home was very comfortable for 5 of us with room to spare. Located in a friendly small town. Many extras included. There are many activities for kids. Our grandchildren had a great time, they would have liked to just stay at the property!. The ferry to Jamestown is very convenient and there is much to see on that side. We also visited the town of Smithfield which is only 20 minutes away. We were looking for a nice slow and relaxing pace and found it. "

"The house was well appointed , quiet, and had a beautiful view of the water from the back deck. The home was clean, spacious and inviting. The host was wonderful to work with.Our group enjoyed spending time on the beach in the evening watching the sunset. I would absolutely recommend this property if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. We didn't take advantage of it this time but the area is wonderful to stay in for easy day trips to Busch Gardens or Colonial Williamsburg. "

"The house was just as advertised. Back yard was great for our dog.Home was clean and everything worked. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and not the most convenient location, but I never felt unsafe and it was quiet."

"We enjoyed our stay so much. We enjoyed playing on our own private beach. The water was so warm each day! Fishing was good on the James River as well. We loved how the house was at the end of the lane and surrounded by trees,. It gave us a very private feel. If you LOVE Bald eagles this is a place for you to stay. "We wanted to find somewhere relaxing to stay for the weekend. To celebrate our friend getting married. It was perfect the view was amazing house has enough space no one fort on top of each other. Really close to the ferry to take to Jamestown "

"We had a lovely stay in Deena’s cottage. The cottage was super convenient to the car ferry, and we took many fun trips into Williamsburg and Jamestown with the kids. We enjoyed the private slice of beach right outside the cottage and kayaking with the kids in the river. Deena was incredibly communicative and knowledgeable and the check-in/out process was seamless. The cottage was well-appointed and the kitchen well-stocked and had everything we needed. "We rented the house as lodging and a central location while family and friends came to town for a local funeral. The house fully suited our needs with plenty of rooms and space for everyone to be together or take time on their own. The view of the river is amazing and we enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit last night. Overall a great experience and we’re already talking about renting it again for a few days this summer."

"The River House at Claremont was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. The house was well appointed with the necessaries (toilet paper, tissues, and toiltetries). In addition the kitchen pantry had salt, pepper, flour and other staples. The interior of the house is amazing with much of the furniture handmade by the owner...

"This is the second year we have stayed here. Superb views over the James river. Quiet location. Very near Scotland Jamestown ferry. Free and one of the US best trips.There were only 3 of us so the house was spacious and we had a bathroom each. All the facilities you need , Good wifi and Tubi TV. Overall excellent"
