"We stayed here recently because our daughter was getting married locally. The house is a beautiful, characterful property, in an idyllic setting. There is everything you could need for a perfect stay here; from fully equipped kitchens in the main house and Barn to extremely comfortable beds. "The property really couldn’t have been any better for our weekend celebrating my sister’s hen party. The location was perfect - central, seconds from the sea and near to all of our planned activities. The communal areas were fantastic, especially the large dining area. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Excellent communication with the host too, thank you!"

"Property was very clean and tidy, with kitchen all in good working order. Hosts quick to reply to any queries, and the property/local area handbook very helpful. Games room and hot tub were great for any down time at the house, and only a 10-15 min drive down to the centre of Brighton."

"We spent 4 nights, 11 people including children. The house is amazing, had everything we needed. The pool was great fun and a highlight of our stay. Close to town for pubs and shops, as well as nature walks. A wonderful place to spend time with loved ones in a special location away from the hustle and bustle."

Although we had a car, we took advantage of the bus that passes the property to get to Brighton for the day to avoid the traffic and parking. "A gorgeous ancient (C16th?) house in a peaceful hamlet with lovely new floors/bathrooms etc. The weather was hot so our favourite thing was the big wooden table and comfortable chairs outside under a beautiful grapevine, felt like being in the South of France!"

The only wrinkle was on arrival the keypad was worn so that the buttons were illegible and the host contact number listed on VRBO was out of date.
