"Nice place overall - clean and well kept. Owners are nice and friendly. The bad part is the sleep situation. For the room we had, there was a very bright security light from the neighbouring property up the hill, and the light shone onto the thin curtains of our room, and when the tree branches moved inbetween it created quite a light show in our room. "The property seems to be family owned and seemed to be run a bit slap dash. The pictures online have had some photo shopping and first impressions were a bit of a letdown. Staff were thin on the ground and some were inexperienced in hospitality. The room was clean and tidy, although we did look in a suite which looked really nice so I would suggest you book one of these if you go. "I originally stayed at this B&B about 20 years ago while walking the coastal path, & decided to return as the village was in an ideal place for our touring holiday. The steep driveway & smallish space made for tricky parking with a large car, but doable. Our room was clean & comfortable, if a little dated in style. The owners were welcoming & helpful. Breakfast the next morning set us up for the day. We had a meal in the pub near the beach, & took a stroll around the village."

"The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well.
