Room of reasonable size, quiet and pleasant view. Pub light meal good and Sea Shanty singers a bonus.Good position to enjoy Lynmouth and convenient for the excellent Cliff Railway to see Lynton. enjoyed the Norther Walk and the Valley of Rocks. Very friendly people - made to feel welcome, thank you.

We had a fabulous two night stay at the Bath hotel. We stayed in a suite sea view room, and it was so worth it! The room was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. We loved that there was even a fridge with water and milk available, a brilliant idea. We loved everything about the hotel, the service, location, food and the staff. Would highly recommend if you’d like a wonderful place to stay in Lynmouth.

Amazing location in beautiful Lynmouth. We booked a suite and had the most stunning sea view. Very clean and modern bedroom. Great food in the restaurant. Very friendly staff and service. We had a very happy 2 night stay.

The Bath Hotel and the Lynmouth town are delightful. The hotel, the town and the local people are quirky, chatty and friendly. We arrived in Lynmouth as the Steampunk parade was shutting down. The people were very friendly and willing to tell us all about the parade and its history, and to recommend places to visit. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. It is certainly a great place to stay.

Staff at the hotel were warm and friendly. They couldn’t have done more to make us and our 2 dogs feel welcome. Breakfast was great. Food very fresh and plenty of choices. The hotel location is perfect and within easy reach of everything that Lynmouth and Lynton has to offer. We will definitely be returning.

Room nice and comfortable with a stunning view over the bay. Breakfast was buffet style with great quality food choices. We ate in the restaurant in the evening too and the food was lovely.

Limited for what to do. Half the shops had not opened for the season. Very good area if you are a serious walker, the views are breathtaking. Eating out is disappointing, few restaurants and all average.

**Disappointing stay, particularly for an elderly guest** We booked a two\-night stay based on the hotel’s excellent 8\.8 rating on Expedia, but unfortunately our experience fell well short of expectations\. On arrival, reception was unattended and our keys had been left on the desk. Staffing was extremely limited, the dining room was cold and we had to eat in the adjoining pub instead. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also very cold, with the hotel heating switched off despite the cold weather. This was particularly concerning as my father is 96 and feels the cold. Heating was only addressed after the second time we had to seek assistance. There were also no telephones in the rooms, making it difficult to contact reception or each other if needed. Overall, the lack of adequate heating, limited staff availability and poor guest care made for an uncomfortable and disappointing stay. We had expected much better from a hotel with such a high rating.

We ensured we arrived before 17.00 hours as the hotel has no-one on reception from 17.00hrs onwards. We felt this was a little restrictive although the Ancient Mariner staff were available to a later time in the evening. We found it convenient to have restaurant and bar food available at the Ancient Mariner and can thoroughly recommend it too. Breakfast is served between 8.00 and 10.00, a decent interval of time. The staff were pleasant and friendly but service for the hot food was a little slow at times. The choice of cereals, juices, fruit, croissants was plentiful and the hot food was very tasty. The room was not huge (after all we were in the 'Snug'!) but it was sufficient, while a second comfy chair would have been welcome. The WiFi worked perfectly well. The hotel was a very convenient base for exploring the beautiful local area. Again, the staff were good at directing us to the local car-parks and advising us we might consider a 4 day pass from the tourist office, Worth noting that car-parking is free by the roadside from 1st November to Good Friday.
