Not worth it

I honestly do not even know where to start. When we arrived I got a message asking to rate the cleanliness of the house. I rated it a 1.5 out of 5 and explained when we arrived we found a live roach, and another live insect. We also had huge dust ball and hair clump behind the dresser, but the most disgusting thing was that we found a used bloody tissue in a vase in the bedroom. It was after hours but they responded requesting pictures and explanation of the rating. I immediately sent multiple pictures and details about the house. They said they were sorry and that they would be addressing it. By the next afternoon, I hadn’t heard back about the issue, so I contacted them. They again said they were still working on it. We continued to find more live and dead bugs around and we noticed more issues, which I messaged them about. The baseboards were filthy. The refrigerator was dirty. The loveseat was broken. There was no access to the washer and dryer. One of the bathtubs was dirty and the drain wouldn’t close, even if we wanted to take a bath. The hot and cold water was reversed in the shower. The check in process was easy. The setup of the house is nice. The master area is separated from the other two bedrooms by the living room and kitchen. I also like the large driveway and the porch has a pretty view. Unfortunately, because the house was so disgusting and I am appalled that the management company has still NOT reached out to me to try and make the matter better after a week. I will NEVER stay at this location again. I will definitely let all of my friends and family know that I would NEVER recommend this place. The price is good, but not worth feeling like you’re staying in a place that is absolutely disgusting and you might have bugs crawling on you at night. (Yes, we did find a live spider in the bed.) We stay in rentals for vacations often. We are actually in another Vacasa this weekend (in a different city) which is wonderful.

Peaceful and friendly community.

Love how close it was to the beach and fishing spots. The people were friendly no matter where I went and it was suck a peaceful neighborhood. Just make sure and call the property manager if you need something because it might take a while if you text or e-mail.

Overall it was a really pretty house

The only problem I had was checking in, the passcode didn’t work. So I called trying to get help, but the waiting was too long for someone to finally answer!! We were outside for a good 30-40 minutes. Once finally inside, everything was really nice and confortable. So I recommend once you are about 30 minutes away from the house, call customer service so they can be on the phone while trying to get just in case ;)

It’s okay

House is in a wonderful location however, the beds are as hard as concrete and there is a slight bug issue. If you are wanting to check in thirty minutes early you can forget it. Needless to say we will not be renting this property again.

Fishing trip

Clean, comfortable beds, great location. We didn't use the kitchen but appeared to have anything you needed for cooking meals if you chose to. Nice showers.

Graduation Trip

This was our trip to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation before she leaves for college. The beach house was more than we could have imagined! The master bedroom with the built in office area was great for my wife and I to get some work done in our down time. Just a quick walk from the arts district and 5 minute drive from Rock Port Beach was the best location for our trip. We will most definately return to Rock Port in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved the space, the colors used and the amount of items they had in the kitchen for our use. I loved this vacation and would whole heartedly recommend.

Rockport Vacation Rental

The house was well maintained and tastefully decorated. Good location for visiting restaurants and shopping in Rockport. Thoroughly enjoyed by three old friends on a road trip. The only negative was the difficulty in operating the front door keypad. It required multiple tries each time we used it.

Comparison to other vac rentals

Turnkey is pretty cheap on what is available for guest use. Can’t believe there wasn’t even salt and pepper, no hair dryer, no washer and dryer even though it says there is on the listing. Reported to Turnkey the extremely noisy ceiling fan on the porch that there was no way to turn it off. Worse than a barking dog next door! Compared to other vacation rentals we have stayed at, night not impressed with this one.

Very nice property

This property is well cared for, clean and fully furnished. It is close to the water. In fact, so close, we had to evacuate to avoid high storm surge. We would have loved to return, but were refunded. Unfortunately, there was not another property available so we had to continue our stay in a hotel.

weekend getaway

we had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. the property was very clean. we enjoyed relaxing on the deck with our adult beverages after a full day of sun and fishing. Advise for future stays would be to bring additional linens. there were no kitchen towels, no dishwasher soap or dish drain if washing dishes/pots and pans. We were never able to open garage door. We were able to open access door to garage area after multiple conversations with support. As instructed we started a load of towels, thankfully I had my own laundry detergent as there was none provided. The only trash can available was a recycle trash can. no regular trash can, I advised support but received no direction.
