We spent around a week at this home. Overall the stay was great, there are a few things that could have made it excellent. Location is beautiful, amenities were good. The exterior doors were terrible - they don’t shut on their own and locking them is cumbersome but you get the hang of it after while. A few things could be tidier and dusting the light fixtures would really be great. The dumb waiter was awesome and made groceries a breeze. Overall a great experience and wonderful memories!

Lovely property

Great overall space and location. Beds were comfortable and plenty of dining and seating space. The primary bedroom has low circulation due to location of return vent, a portable fan would be beneficial. The plugs on the outside wall of master bathroom do not work. Tried to reset all GFIs. Assume one may be in locked owner closet.

Just perfect

We didn’t want to leave! I loved the layout of this house. My husband and I with our dogs had the upstairs while another couple and 6 yr old and tiny dog stayed downstairs. We would just put a baby gate at the top of the stairs so the dogs weren’t rough housing wrestling. Having the master bedroom with its own exit to the balcony and stairs down to the perfect yard was so easy. The outside area was fantastic with the gas fire pit and full kitchen, we bbq fajitas and stayed warm or would hop inside to play a game of pool! All the reviews said there weren’t any towels so we brought extra but they had 4 towels in every bathroom. The kitchen only had one but we had everything else we needed. We never even left the house all weekend accept to walk the downtown shops. The showers worked great, the beds were comfy and the neighborhood was so quiet! Loved the view on the canals too. If it had been warmer I’d have taken the kayaks out. There was even a spare small table the kid could lay out his toys and coloring on so we always had the large table for games and dinner. Again, such a great layout! The rental company checked in to make sure we were happy and assisted with a late checkout which we were soooo grateful for! Would love to come back when it’s warmer!

Wonderful place!

The house was perfect for our family of 7! We loved fishing off the fantastic dock. We had plenty of space for everyone and a wonderful kitchen to cook in. We had a great time!

Has great potential

This house is located in the desirable key allegro, but that’s as far as it goes. It could be a fantastic vacation rental but unfortunately, corners were cut in areas that shouldn’t be cut. Limited supply in towels(low quality), very low quality bedding(no comforter or heavier top cover…only light weight sheets. The downstairs bathroom shower floor pan was cracked so we were unable to use it. After a long trip down to Rockport, we hoped to arrive and not have to run to the store right away. No spices, coffee, etc. the house has great potential, but just isnt there yet.

Fantastic home in Key Allegro

This house was perfect for my whole family. Key Allegro is a clean, quiet community that is close to restaurants and HEB for groceries. Beyond the convenience and great neighborhood, the house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. With a patio out back overlooking the canal with wonderful sunrise and sunset views, it was also fun to have fishing right out the backdoor plus outdoor kitchen. The pool table downstairs provided lots of entertainment for my family as well. There was an extra ice maker and refrigerator downstairs which added more convenience. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed staying here.

Great place but managed poorly

The house was clean and beautiful. However, when we arrived, there was no toilet paper, no paper towels, or tissue of any sort. There was no garbage can on the upper level in amy room including the kitchen. No trash bags. This house is managed by Vacassa. Very difficult communication with them. Could not get in with the code given to my husband.

Ants!

The property was beautiful. Initial issue was a missing hair dryer but local person brought one which was great. If you care about towels, bring your own. They do the bare minimum for towels here, I’d expect this quality in prison. The biggest issue was ants. I have never seen so many ants at once in a house. The property person came and spayed, which was great. They were pouring out from the outlets on the backsplash and she was going to get pest control out….we spent two more nights without pest control coming and I was terrified to put any food on the counters. She said someone would at least bring by ant traps….never happened either. Worst experience with a rental ever. Thank goodness everything was great and we had a good time. I will have nightmares about those ants though. She said they would refund my cleaning fee….we shall see if that happens. I think we deserve more than that.

Amazing rental

We loved it! Had just about everything you might need. (Some chairs on upstairs balcony would be nice, though, as bar stools aren’t comfy for lounging.) There’s even a dumb waiter unit in garage that helps get things upstairs, coming out in the kitchen! Enjoyed the kayaks, fishing, pool table and all the restaurants nearby. Hope to return one day.
