"Celebrated 50 years married with family here. Spacious accommodations, nice scenery, fun game room. A place for everyone to sleep, nice and ample dining areas, plenty of room in the kitchen. Kitchen was missing some everyday items like pot holders and a colander. Went and purchased what we needed and added to inventory. Such a minor negative for all the great times we had in this house. Family time is the best time. Thanks."

"This was the second time that we stayed here. It is very peaceful. We love watching the beautiful sunsets from the back deck. There's nothing like relaxing by the water. We enjoyed riding our bikes along the bike path right outside the front door. Plenty to do up and down the river: museums, shops, restaurants, and outdoor recreation. "My 2 friends and I stayed for 4 nights for a few days of shopping and hiking in and around Galena. The house was charming filled with antiques Sandy had acquired. The beds provided were exceptionally comfortable. We loved sitting outside on the deck for meals or just to relax. Sandy would provide amazingly delicious breakfasts daily and even provided recipes for some cookies she made for us. She informed us of several places to visit that she would recommend to us.
