The house was great for our family of 17, ranging in age from 75 to 5 years old. The owner was great and was available for all of our questions. We had bad plumbing issues and several bathrooms were down overnight. Not so good when we had Mexican food for dinner!Small things could have made it so much better. Weeds pulled in the front and trash nd cigarette butts picked up in the back.

Numerous problems that owner tried to fix-no wi-fi, no ac, broken upstairs dishwasher, basement flooded when we used downstairs washing machine. Place had not been cleaned prior to check in, trash sack in entry way, litter on floor, mop on back steps. Great location.

Tired Property -- Great Location, but in need of a Facelift

My family (14 adults and teens) stayed here in June 2018 for a family wedding. The house is in a great location; everything we wanted was within walking distance and getting around was easy. The off-street parking was good to have (although a bit of a squeeze with two cars). The owner, Steve, was accommodating, but the property is outdated and definitely in need of some TLC and more amenities. There was not one hanger in most of the closets or an iron (Steve brought us some upon request), and there were no dressers, so we had to live out of our suitcases. Several lights in the bedrooms did not work or were too far from the (strangely placed) outlets to plug in, and the furniture, bedding and carpeting were all tired. The shades in the bedrooms were not functional and flimsy. The lower level (pool room and a few bedrooms) had an awful smell from dampness and mildew. The windows were dirty. The kitchens were the only part of the house that appeared to have been renovated. They were nice and functional, although we hardly used them. All in all, we managed -- thankfully, we were out of the house more than we were there. The house was livable but not a great value -- steep price for what we got. Definitely more like a frat house for young folks in for a weekend series at Wrigley Field. If you are looking for an old house to cram a lot of young people in to for a fun party weekend, then this would fit the bill. It is definitely in need of a facelift in order to make it a good option for anything but that.

Great large family gathering place

The large number of bedrooms between the upstairs and downstairs combined properties provides a great space for large families to get together. We cooked a Thanksgiving meal for a family of 15 and used both kitchens. The owner was pleasantly accommodating through messaging. Some rooms were relatively small but serviceable. Only complaint from some of the group was that some of the mattresses sagged and the pillows were a bit thin (only reason to not to go with full 5 *s). I would bring some pillows with you if it matters to you and test out the beds before choosing. Some steps were a bit steep at some of the entrances for some of the elderly, but it worked out fine. We had a great time cooking, playing some family games, watching some sports TV, playing some pool, and Ubering conveniently to downtown Chicago for performances and shopping. Despite the seasonal cold, we felt comfortable walking around the area in daytime and overall had a great time. The main rooms are open and feel spacious, but used which is not a bad thing for a large families. Great way for a family to gather in Chicago. I recommend it.

Not bad but not great

Overall the property worked for our needs. Some of the rooms are incredibly small.... basically the size of a closet. The property is in an awesome location So if you want to be in that part of town and you have a big group it’s not a bad choice. Management is definitely not interested in a high level of customer service. It is what it is. There are rules and requirements listed in virtually every common space. I give it a solid three stars as there was nothing warm and friendly about the place, Furniture was on and very basic, the rooms were very small but again the location is awesome and the property can accommodate a large group.

Great place to spend time in chicago

We had both units for a business trip for a trade show that was a week long. A group of about 16 adult men stayed comfortably in this spacious clean house. The pool was nice to have. Location is great. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance and the guys who drove in had a safe place to park.

Perfect for our group

Everything was great! It was more than enough room for our group of 12. Easy walk to Wrigley Field. Also plenty of pizza places and bars all over the place. Very nice neighborhood. The bedrooms and kitchens were all very clean. Free parking on site worked perfectly for our oversized school van + normal van. If we really pushed it we probably could have fit in a third vehicle there, but we only had two. Once we were there we had no need to drive anywhere. Thank you!

Perfect spot, easy access to all of the northside

Great spot for a big group. We had 8-10 guys staying here over 4 days and never felt cramped. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a big space to house work teams, friends or large family gatherings.

Great space for our Sales Kickoff

This apartment was perfect for our team of 12. The rooms were comfortable, common spaces had everything we needed, and the location was great. We were able to walk to Wrigley to take the team to a Cubs game which was a blast. Also, the owner was very flexible and helpful to our group. Would highly recommend.

Great location and space!

This house was perfect for our needs -- 8 adults gathering in the city for a team retreat. We were all able to comfortably sit around the dining table for a meal one night. The beds were comfortable and clean, as was the rest of the house. Check-in and check-out were very easy, and Steve was quite responsive to my many questions prior to our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect for a Large Group! Excellent location!

We rented this property to bring a group of 18 teenagers and 7 adults to Chicago for sightseeing. It was perfect for our needs! The location of the house was great; not too far from the subway. We drove to Chicago and then took public transportation from the house, so this worked great for us, especially since the weather was nice! Parking was a bit tight, but we were able to fit our four vehicles, including two larger ones, into the space provided. Also, this is very near Wrigley Field. Lots of space in the house allowed us to spread out and relax. We appreciated the extra large dining tables for large groups like ours to be able to share a meal or play games. The bedrooms were very nice on the upper two levels and the living rooms were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool table. The house was comfortably furnished with lots of couches, nice spacious kitchens, and clean linens. The basement level was a bit damp and cool. Some mentioned a musty smell. The upper two levels were sunny and pleasant. Everyone wanted to stand on the little deck on the top floor. We loved staying here and I would book it again if we are in the area with a big group. Highly recommended if you have a big group or need lots of space! "I loved everything about the house. I thoroughly liked the house." - one of our teens

Wrigleyville Wonder!

Our family group of 15 had a fabulous stay here for a reunion, with people ranging in age from 9 to 79. Lots of great spaces for adults and kids to spread out and hang out. And to be literally 2 blocks from Wrigley was amazing. Recommend it highly. Only caution is for young kids and elderly people, steep stairs in some parts (with no railings in some cases) make it a bit challenging, but main floor works great for all.

Perfect space for a big group!!

The house is in a wonderful neighborhood and is HUGE - perfect for a big group. Two great kitchens and bathrooms are spacious and easy for everyone to share. It's a bit hard to find the sheets, etc, but once we did there wasn't anything we were lacking/looking for. Owner was responsive when we had questions re: internet, getting in, etc.

Boys Weekend in Chicago

Traveled with a group of 12 guys to see a game at Wrigley and experience Chicago. This house was perfect for our group. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Front patio and basement bar room were great gathering places (although the pool table has seen better days). Beds and linens were fine. HVAC was great. Location could not have been better. Liquor store directly across the street was very convenient. These are not luxury accommodations, but for what we needed, the house was absolutely perfect. I would recommend it to any large group traveling to Chicago, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Very large. Perfect for big groups and families.

We rented both units, so all three floors. With two kitchens and plenty of bedrooms, everyone was comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed to cook meals (feasts), and it was close to everything we needed. I would HIGHLY recommend using Instacart for all grocery and alcohol needs. There are plenty of options that deliver to the house through that service. It's a really lovely location to walk around. I even walked to the lakefront, took my dog to the dog beach and walked back. 5.4mile round trip. Easy and a beautiful walk. Awesome. Loved having the parking space there. Wrigley was steps away. Very nice for going to games, but do make sure you know the game schedule when you stay. The traffic and hoards of people can surprise you but it doesn't hinder you in any way. Ubers are still quick to come and traffic moves right along with traffic cops guiding and the pedestrian fans are all very nice. We had a group of 10, mostly males who are used to less than roomy accommodations. Do not expect lush bedding and modern decor or anything extremely luxurious. It's roomy and more than our basic needs were met. This is a place perfect for a bunch of bros to eat, drink, and be merry while staying in Chicago for games and reunions. Although we didn't have children with us, I think it's perfect for a multi-family vacation or reunion. I have no complaints. It couldn't have been more perfect for what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great for large groups!

Would highly recommend this house if you have a large group looking to all be under one roof. Location is perfect for Cubs games. Only a couple block walk. I'd use again.

Nice House, Great Location

We brought in a group of employees to this house to work a tradeshow. The house fit us perfectly. Large open areas allowed us to congregate together. We rented both of the units in this building. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to support 8 people. The game room downstairs was a lot of fun. The pool table and bumper pool table need a little bit of maintenance, but we were still able to play bumper pool. I only wish we had this place when the CUBS were in town. Also liked the fact that this property has 3 parking spaces (not as common anymore in the area).
