"Peaceful and beautiful! Fall asleep to the sound of the river. The kitchen is well-equipped and functional, and the lounge gave us plenty of room to spread out. We had access to a beautiful private garden as well. Note that there are very few services in Canonbie-the closest grocery stores are in Gretna."

"The property was just as described and as seen in the pictures. It was very well curated and clean with all the amenities you needed. It was a pleasure to look out of the window and see the lake right there and be able to walk and run from the door. We had come to relax, bike, walk some of Hadrian's wall, explore the area and to do lake swimming. (Unfortunately the country park had not yet opened the lake for this... however the water quality was not great for swimming if you are considering...

"We had a fantastic time at the barn, the owners Suzy and Jim are genuinely nice people, The barn is great, they left us a great welcoming hamper. My sons highlight for the whole trip was helping Suzy and Jim feeding there sheep, the hill behind the barn was a great place to watch the night sky "
