The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Love the views of the park and the shopping on Newbury Street. Service is excellent. The restaurant, Contessa, on the roof is also excellent.

Service was excellent in the cafe downstairs, checkin, room service etc. LOVED the decor, classy and peaceful. We live in the area and came here for a change of scene for a night and were so pleasantly surprised. Worth the price and one night felt like a vacation for us! For out of towners, you won’t be disappointed and of course everythin is right outside your doorstep!

My husband & I stayed for the 2024 Boston Marathon. It was conveniently located near all marathon events & walking distance to the busses race day morning. The customer service was excellent. The only downside was that there was no bath tub.

Everyone for the most part was extremely friendly and nice. We were there so that my husband could run in the Marathon. I did not know the city and was alone. My friend who lives in Boston came to meet me at the hotel and show me around and stay with me so I was not alone. We were sitting in the lobby and a man from the hotel judged him and asked if we were guests and would have to leave, My friend was insulted. I told the man that I was a guest for 2 nights and my husband was running and my friend came to meet me to show me around and stay with me so that i was not alone. He said ok but you cant loiter. Wow!!!! Everyone was so nice up to that point and my husband had paid a lot for 2 nights. My friend said that was totally unnecessary to speak like that to us. I said lets just go and walk around . Lesson never judged people how they look. My friend has had some hard times but he is kind and a generous soul. He even treated me to lunch. That was the only issue that I felt was not too cool.

The hotel uses a fragrance that is distributed through the ventilation system. If you're someone who is sensitive to odors, it may be off-putting. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. They surprised us with a petit birthday cake for my husband. Lovely stay.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and facility. Room was beautiful and the staff was amazing.Great view of the park and awesome amenities. Only downside was the very loud heating/cooling system in the room. Wish that was quieter and less noticeable. Otherwise a wonderful stay!

Beautiful hotel, great location!
Wonderful hotel in the best location! We loved our stay so much. We loved our room and the view of the park (though the park was under construction which was a bummer). We especially loved the private lounge just for hotel guests. It was a great place to work, hang and have coffee or a drink.

We had to Wait almost 2 hrs after the 3pm check in time to get a room . That was very inconvenient and disappointing.. the rooms and staff were very nice and no other complaints at all ..

Great service and lunch with a view
Thanks to Anna's excellent customer service skills at the front desk, we had a wonderful stay combining work with seeing family. Enjoyed location, great bathtub and very comfortable bed. Be sure to have a long lunch at the rooftop Contessa Restaurant

Welcoming and Luxurious. Great location in Back Bay. Walkable to good restaurant options. From the valet to check in to bar tender at the street bar, everyone was happy to see you. Only wish is that they kept a few tables open at Contessa for hotel guests. I’ve stayed twice and enjoyed both .
