A wonderful family vacation!

The house was absolutely beautiful. It was very comfortable and handled our family of 10 very well. Sitting on the back porch watching the sun set then waiting for the flying squirrels to come out of their adorable house and glide away made a perfect ending to each day. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The hosts were very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you for welcoming us to your home.

New Year’s family yearly vacation

The house is great , beautiful , clean, able to accommodate entire family comfortably. The 4 of 5 rating is the long winding road up to the property takes about 15-20 minutes each way but not too bad. Neighborhood is new and quiet. Would definitely rent again

Family gathering in the mountains

Had a great time - beautiful views from the house! Great amenities available for us to use Things to note - we had an infant and toddler and noises in the house carry (probably because of the wonderful high ceilings). Bring a sound machine for the hallway or rooms to help block sounds out. The grounds are beautiful but the backyard is on an incline and not great for outdoor play with young ones. We spent a majority of our time on the driveway playing and riding bikes on the road. There wasnt much traffic as there are only a few houses past this home. Owners were lovely to work with and every responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Black Mountain Family Vacation

Beautiful house in a beautiful, quiet and serene location in Black Mountain, NC. The house is new (2022), large, well appointed, and everything works. The manager/owner Mike responded very quickly, via text, on the total of three texts we sent him (1 before arriving, 1 during the stay and 1 day of departure). Plenty of hiking trails and we saw a black bear and her cub in our driveway (had no problem)! Many things to do in the area and we golfed one day, visited Biltmore, The Cove (Billy Graham's center), Montreat, two wineries and a few breweries. Enjoyed dining in a few locations.

The perfect house for our 4th of July family get together

Our stay was perfect. We enjoyed the house and cooked on the grill a few nights and fixed our lunch a few days. The weather was hot but had a few rain showers that cooled things off. We enjoyed the town of Black Mountain,shops and restaurants. Also ventured to the Arboretum ,Asheville River Arts district and Lake Lure. Relaxing on the fantastic deck we were able to view Papa ,Mama and baby bear in safety. Hope to come back in the future!

Great getaway

Great family reunion. Lovely and very quiet. 20 minute ride up the mountain so very remote. House was clean and well stocked. Plenty of room to spread out. Fabulous deck overlooking the forest

This property was everything you could ask for if you want great accommodations, relaxation and beautiful views. The house was wonderful along with the hosts in giving great information regarding ideas during our stay. We did go into the town of Black Mountain which was a great addition to the trip. Can't wait to see the Falls next time.

Beautiful home and location

We enjoyed our stay in this property. Our group consisted of two families (4 adults, 3 teens/tweens). We appreciated the two master suites and that each of the teens had their own bedroom. The views from the deck are beautiful. The teens used the hot tub every evening. The trails in the community are nice - highly recommend the Catawba Falls trail. We understood driving time to the grocery store (about 20 minutes) and out to the Biltmore when we booked. Gorgeous property, highly recommend!

Family Mountain Trip

This was a superb house to stay in, plenty of room for all my family to stay. We had 4 children from age 3 to 13, something for everyone! Close proximity to Black Mountain. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Only other comment I would say is that we were not familiar with the Beautiful line of appliances, the coffee make especially, instructions on these would be helpful!

First annual P….. Girl’s Getaway

We were looking for a mountain place to get together where we could cook and play, plus shop a bit (Black Mountain and downtown Asheville). Our highlight was a candlelight tour of the Biltmore! Though a bit of a drive, the house was amazing and checked all our boxes. The beds were sooo comfy!! We had a blast -ages 33-77!! Thank you!!

Black Mountain Gem

First, Michael and Bernadette were the perfect hosts! They thought of everything and we’re so responsive. We had 8 adults, a 7-year old and our dogs for the week of Thanksgiving and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was the perfect set up for a big family and big meal. The kids loved going into Black Mountain, which is the perfect small mountain town with plenty of shops and great food. The house was exactly as described, and had everything you’d want for a family vacation — a wonderful snack box provided by our hosts, games, extra blankets and pillows and very comfortable furniture, and the fireplace was perfect on our cold nights. We’d definitely stay here again!

Super Weekend with friends

Dream Mountain Escape

Michael and Bernadette were the ULTIMATE super hosts for our family mountain get away! I don’t know how many times we commented that they literally thought of EVERYTHING! Communication was quick and easy. We were grateful they allowed us to check in early . They were quick to address any issue we had and even came by to drop off an item we asked for. So nice to meet and chat with them about the area and to meet their beautiful dogs. The home was clean and well designed for a large family gathering . ( we had 11 people) We loved the modern mountain decor and even got a little giggle at many of the signs . Everything was exactly as described and pictured . The 3 king suites (each with amazing views ) plus 3 extra rooms were perfect for sleeping ; beds were comfortable.; bathrooms and closets very spacious. The kitchen was the BEST stocked kitchen we have ever had ( we rent often) and we loved the lay out of kitchen/ dining and great room. Plenty of seating for large groups and perfect for watching our favorite college football game on Saturday. The game room was a hit for our 5 year old grandson and his aunts and uncles. The second refrigerator was also a plus for food and drinks. The hot tub was the perfect spot to relax our sore muscles after many days of hiking . We loved that there were so many beautiful hiking trails within the neighborhood so we didn’t have to travel too far to enjoy waterfalls. The back deck with the views of Black Mountain had ample seating , ideal for morning coffee or just relaxing and reading a good book ! We used the grill a couple of nights and roasted marshmallows in the fireplace inside . We appreciated the sweet little extra details like the snack box( notice we ate them all- even the dog biscuits for Lacey) The book with clear instructions for check out , appliances , bear sightings, and maps of trails was very helpful as well Great Wi-Fi - making it easy to check out things to do in area nearby . We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather the whole time so we were able to get out and explore the area but thought it would have been fine if it would have rained because it is such a beautiful ,fun home to just hang out in . The experience we had was above and beyond our expectations! Thank you!!!!

Beautiful home!

We found this gem for our family to stay together while we were in town for my son’s high school football game! So much space, super comfy bed and linens, literally EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen! Peaceful, quiet, everything we were looking for! There were 11 of us and there was plenty of space when we wanted to all be together, and plenty of room for us to spread out and do our own thing. We saw bears and turkeys in the area too! Highly recommended, you won’t regret staying here!

Gorgeous well stocker mountain home near Asheville

This is a gorgeous, brand new mountain home w amazing views from the back deck, and everything your family might need from the kitchen, family areas and game room. Hiking trails are in the neighborhood and also a short drive away to Blue Ridge Parkway trails, Chimney Rock and more. Its only a 1/2 hour drive to Asheville. The house is immaculate and cozy.

Beautiful Mountain House

House was beautifully decorated, beds very comfortable, shades on all the bedroom windows, even had a large create to make fido comfortable while we were out exploring. Kids had fun playing fooseball, ping pong and relaxing in the hot tub. Deck seating comfortable and beautiful views! Drive out to the house was a long windy mountain road but directions were spot on and great communication from hosts. Would recommend if you are looking for a luxurious mountain retreat!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

Great home for a large family with plenty of space to be together or apart. Kids loved the game room and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Many activities within 30 min-tubing, horseback riding, golf, boating on lake. Hiking trails within neighborhood. Convenient grocery store. All a family and extended family could ask for!

Wonderfully perfect

Before we get into the review, it’s important to note that we are always very vigilant in the selection process when renting homes; we are very particular when it comes to cleanliness and amenities and try to pick the “best” vacation homes offered. Most homes don’t live up to their online descriptions in person, but this one most certainly did! And not only that, but the home surpassed our expectations, too. Mike and Bernadette made intentional decisions in their home with their guests in mind: snack basket (with treats for our dog!), candy bowl, USB/phone charging ports on every nightstand, subtle nightlights built into the power outlets, smart appliances/thermostat, luxurious mattresses and bedding, tissues on nightstands, live plants throughout home and fresh cut flowers, plenty of towels in each bathroom, the list could go on forever. Mike and Bern didn’t cut any corners and we appreciate that so much as their guests. House was CLEAN, hot tub was IMMACULATE, communication with our hosts was wonderful, literally cannot find a single thing to complain about other than the guest book wasn’t big enough for us to write them an exhaustive review ;) Trust us and stay here. Mike and Bern genuinely care about you as a guest and you can feel it the moment you step into their beautiful home. Oh and the community is wonderful! Private trails to the Catawba and waterfalls. We saw turkeys every day! Saw one sweet bear on our last day! We had the best time. Thank you Mike and Bern! What lovely humans you are!

Exceeding Expectations!

If I were to buy a vacation home in NC I would look for a home like this one. It felt like we were visiting our own home. Michael was attentive and paid attention to detail. In the mountains but close to everything. We even saw a black bear our last day there! Recommend with no reservations! Ed and Blair
