"We had a fantastic stay at this cabin. It's the perfect size for two people and offers a peaceful escape on the quieter side of the island. The location was ideal, with easy access to the main park visitor center/Cadillac Mountain ( 30 min drive) and several great area hiking trails. "It’s was lovely! A very special and beautiful property! Wonderful to be able to walk to dinner and shops. Unfortunately, with only a one-night stay, the late check-in (4p) and early checkout (10a) felt a bit rushed. It would be best enjoyed with more nights, or a slightly later checkout. "The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden...

"7 of us stayed at this little hideaway cabin and really enjoyed ourselves for the whole week. There was hiking and cycling, antiquing, lobster rolls, ice cream, making art, sightseeing, sunrises and sunsets, stargazing, and celebrating a milestone 50th wedding anniversary! We had a lovely time on our 7th trip to Bar Harbor and would highly recommend the cabin if you want something clean, quiet, and close to town. "
