The location was absolutely perfect, and the sunset views over the ocean were stunning. The place had everything we needed, and we had a great time grilling and enjoying lobster. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, which made our stay even better. Thank you for a wonderful time!

The property was clean, had ample room and two bathrooms was a plus. Kitchen had everything we needed and was functional. Wish we had more time to stay, really liked Bass Harbor!

Very Disappointing Stay — Would Not Return Unfortunately, our experience at this property was extremely disappointing. The house was described as needing some updating, but we found it to be far more dated than expected, with peeling paint, a strong musty odor throughout the house, and musty-smelling towels in the cabinets. More concerning, the upstairs shower was unusable due to a leak that was flowing into the kitchen ceiling. There were visible stains and peeling paint in the affected area, and we were told the repair would not be completed until after our stay. On our third night, we found a live mouse on the stairs inside the house. This was extremely upsetting and added to an already disappointing experience. Although the house appeared generally clean, the overall condition and maintenance issues fell well short of what we expected for the price. We had no alternative accommodations available, so we felt stuck staying despite these problems. Ultimately, we left a day early. Our experience communicating with the owner was also disappointing. Rather than focusing on our concerns, the response emphasized the property’s positive reviews and defended its history as a rental. We understand that older homes may have dated decor, but there is a difference between an older home and one with significant maintenance issues that affect a guest’s stay. Based on our experience, we would not return and would not recommend this property.

Clean unit. Great beds and linens. Kitchen well equiped, including storage bags, foil etc. Lots of cabinet space for food we brought. Plenty of dishes, silverware, pans etc. Downstairs bathroom had 3 towel bars - great for all the bath towels. Nice having a washer and dryer. Nice, comfortable living room. Reliable wifi for all devices (4) being used at the same time. For an older home, this was very comfortable for the 3 of us. Two bedrooms upstairs were very comfortable. The second bathroom was great to have. Stairs were a bit steep, but had handrails on both sides. Parking was great. This rental was close to Bar Harbor and the many areas of Acadia. Would highly recommend this rental. Renter was terrific communicating with us, responding in less than 30 minutes.

This home was perfect! We truly loved the views and the location! There were just a slight issue at check in but the host was quick to respond and solve the problem. Our 2 night stay couldn’t have been better!

Our family had a great visit to Mt. Desert Island, staying across the street from a wonderful boat cruise and delicious restaurant. The nearby Seal Cove Auto Museum was also a must see. The house was exactly as marketed and perfect for our stay.Thank you!

The house is older but comfortable, functional, and clean. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots and pans and such compared to other VRBO rentals I've stayed at, which is very nice.

This property was an affordable way to have an enjoyable stay near all the sights of Acadia. The ability to do laundry during our trip was a big plus as well as 4 twin beds for 4 adults with room to spread out. Generally we spent time exploring Acadia and Bass Harbor but having the house allowed a day of relaxation and puzzle assembly for some while others spent more time hiking. Owners were fantastic!! Would stay again.

Nice Quiet Place

Quiet place in bass harbor. Close to a restaurant and Acadia park around 25 minutes away. Very spacious with lots of amenities.

Enjoyed our time there. Laundry facilities were great. Kitchen facilities were great. Couldn’t get the tv work. No coffee. Liked proximity too seafood restaurant. Great communication with the manager. Easy checkout.

Wonderful experience staying right on the harbor! We were in the area during the busy 4th of July time and loved visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. The best part was coming back to our quiet hideaway to rest up for our next day of exploring. There was an issue with our heat that was taken care of immediately. HIGHLY recommend this spot--oh, and be sure to check out Echo Lake, which is super close.

Beautiful, quiet location

It was a very clean and lovely house with plenty of space and a great view! If I were coming back to this area again, I would absolutely stay here again. Very friendly and well-prepared hosts who had a plethora of things you could do on the island written out for you

Great Maine Harbor Village Experience!

Our family absolutely loved our visit at this home! We loved how quiet the little harbor area was, despite how busy the island was for the 4th of July holiday, and the quaint old home gave great authentic Maine vibes. Host information was helpful, and they were attentive when we needed to contact them.
