"Clean, cosy, well equipped, well situated, friendly welcome. Only stayed one night, but a comfortable evening and woke well rested for work. Definitely coming back."

"We had lovely time staying at the Cleveland Hotel. The room was excellent and the staff was very helpful."

"We had a fabulous time. Great communication and welcome from owners. The apartment was beautiful, the decor, the outlook from sitting room window, with all the trees and birds. Kitchen was really well equipped and lovely touch of a cake, buscuits, milk, water and soft drinks. Beautiful products in bathroom and super comfy bed. We will definitely be back in the future. "

"Had a lovely stay at Kethla house, location was good. Bed was very comfortable owners were very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well. Would definitely recommend."

"I had such a lovely stay here. It may be a modest B&B, but it was absolutely excellent, and as a solo female traveller I felt completely safe, comfortable and genuinely looked after. My single room was spotless and had everything I needed, including a lovely en-suite and a big window. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and even the little details were thought of — when I arrived, the owner brought me a bottle of cold water, which was such a lovely welcome. Breakfast was fresh and...

"The Berberry is a great place to stay, just 10 minutes walk from the station or the seafront, and offers a very comfortable bed with a great breakfast to set you up for the day ahead!!! We were warmly welcomed, and the information Steve shared about local restaurants helped us to find some delicious seafood even on a bank holiday weekend!! Wendy’s delicious homemade cake was a lovely addition to a relaxing cuppa in the garden on our arrival, and the breakfast menu covers all tastes, including...

"Owners very welcoming friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable shower was very good, breakfast was lovely, close to seafront and shops overall excellent"

"The breakfasts were excellent but I would have preferred a start time earlier than 8.30am. There was constant noise from the room next door which prevented me from sleeping. The hosts were very helpful and I made these comments on my departure. Sleep is important so This was an issue for me"

"There was a wedding party which I was advised before I arrived. The hotel called me to confirm this which I was happy with. They brought the evening meals to the room which was very enjoyable. I have no issues with this whatsoever. They kept me informed. "

"Lovely welcome. The room was really good Breakfast was good with plenty of choice Would definitely stay again"

"Julia and Jamie were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, with plenty of choice available. The seafront with lots of restaurants and amenities are within walking distance, making it a very convenient location. The mattress was a little too firm for our liking. We would also have appreciated the option of later breakfast slots (the latest slot was 9-9.15am) and blackout curtains/blinds in the bedroom, which would have allowed us to...

"Great location, but some room for improvement Great location, just a stone’s throw from the main beach in Torquay. The flat had all the amenities we needed for cooking, which was a plus. Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the stay down. The dining table only seats two people, despite the flat accommodating four. This meant our children had to sit at the table while we ate standing at the kitchen counter. Although the toilet looked clean, there was a noticeable smell of urine. The...

"If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). I requested a room change and the manager was very accommodating and moved me to a room that was a lot nicer but still on the front below the bar because of my dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended...

"We only booked one night as we were attending a show at the Princess theatre...kind of glad as our room was sadly in need of maintainence and cleaning."

"•no lift to rooms •breakfast wasn’t very nice •bad evening meal selection and you’re tied into a set 3 course meal •no entertainment •showers that scream at you •steps to use the bathroom in rooms •no working wifi for tv and signal poor in general •fire alarms going off at early hours in the morning for a long amount of time for no reason. *rubbish left in our room when arrived. •no real double bed, two singles pushed together. •towels provided are tiny. •duty manager let himself into our room...
