Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . "We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"The room was very clean, the welcome was warm, and even though hot food is not allowed in the rooms, we were very pleased with the effort that Tim and Vicky went to to set up for us to have a takeaway dinner in the dining area. The location is great - literally around the corner from Torre Abbey, gardens, and the beach, marina and high street are not too far also."

"Most of the front of house staff were excellent and helpful. Only one obviously didn’t enjoy her work and it showed. The room was large, clean and comfortable but very hot. No air con but a fan was provided which helped. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of hot and cold food. We had dinner one night which was fine. "had a 2 night stay and location good and in its heyday sure was a great hotel, but it is run down and needs a lot of money spent on it, room was very worn, wallpaper hanging off wall and bit tatty. we had a family room with bunk bed, and this it was very old and very noisy. The weather was very hot at the time of stay which was great for the weekend but being on 3rd floor the rooms were very uncomfortable."
