"Lovely little cottage. Very easy walk into Ambleside of no more than 5 minutes. "

"Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left. It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but...

"The property was excellent. The drive is too narrow for big cars, but you are able to park off-road on the owners drive nextdoor. Poor communication from Cottage.com about access with keys."

"Excellent property with high standard of finish and decoration. Very warm despite the cold weather outside. The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. Everything was great and we can’t wait to return. "
