"Really good cottage only about 2 mins walk from centre of Ambleside. Had everything you need for a nice simple stay in the lakes. Great views from the front room over the hills. They’ve just had a car parking space put in which is very handy. Great communication with owner throughout. Would definitely come back."

"Bedroom wall had bad damp all over one wall which left a musty smell. Main room had only one blind which meant sun light woke me up at 4/30 am. Terrible mattress which was awful to sleep in. "

The views of the lake are amazing and you get duel aspect from the massive living room. The best part is the lakes and boats are steps away from the apartment. "We visit the Lakes once a year, and we were so pleased we chose Martin's cottage this year which was perfect for the two of us. We had good comms with Martin before arrival, and was welcomed to the property by him upon arrival which was a nice touch. The cottage itself was comfortable, with everything we needed, and the location, on a side street in the middle of Grasmere, was perfect. Having off street parking was a big plus. We'd stay again, without a doubt, the next time we're in that area."
