We absolutely loved staying in this home. The hosts were super communicative, and even anticipated things before we thought of them! (I am a novice with spas and pools, and the hosts were super helpful and responsive). Here is what we loved about the place and the location:Home: It is amazingly equipped and furnished. We cooked all our meals at the home because it was so easy to visit around the island in the kitchen and work on meals across three generations. They have every imaginable appliance and tool. (Ever get to a place and realize you need to buy a citrus juicer for that margarita?) We appreciated the small stock of oils and spices to get things started too. Oh, and the coffee maker was ready to go! The kitchen has a great open format allowing for family and friends to relax nearby. The pool and spa are out of this world. I am an early riser and loved a quick morning soak as the sun started to rise and make the nearby hills glow. Also, the house is well stocked with pool toys and umbrellas for the patio, where we spend most of the daytime relaxing.Location: If you are a hiker and ready for some National Park time, this is a great basecamp. The Black Rock access has several great hiking options: Warren Peak, Panorama Loop, and the High Point trail. The morning crew would get up at 6am, hike till 10am and then soak in the pool during the mid-day heat. Then we'd head back to the park for afternoon and evening hikes.
