Really the only plus to this property was availability since other hotels near this location were all booked, now I see why. This is obviously a newly designated "Days Inn" from a locally named motel. Needs total renovation! The ladies at check-in and out were very helpful and moved me to another room upon request since the air conditioning was not working properly. They deserve a better environment to work!

They have roaches and the items in the room where torn up . It was splats of poop on the walls . First night I tried to stay no one was at the window stood out in the storm for almost a hour due to that . Like you guys really need to do better.

Unforgettable Adventure at America's Best Inn
Well, where do I even begin with our stay at America's Best Inn and Suites in York, Al? It was like stepping into a thriller movie, and I'm not sure if I was the protagonist or the unwitting side character.Picture this: It's a Bama game weekend, and hotels closer to Tuscaloosa are demanding ransom money for a room. So, I found this gem of a place on hotel.com, and let me tell you, it was a steal – or was it?As we approached the motel, my wife looked at the building and said, 'Yeah, how about we try a different hotel, this looks sketchy.' Little did she know, I had already committed us to this adventure.Upon arrival, we encountered the motel's version of Fort Knox – a bulletproof window and a locked lobby door. We finally made it to our room, only to find an ashtray in a 'non-smoking' room, stained sheets that could tell a thousand stories, and a shower that performed a never-ending water dance.Surprisingly, no bed bugs joined our adventure, so we actually slept soundly. We tried to enjoy some TV, but premium channels were off-limits, of course.Now, let's talk about the much-anticipated 'free breakfast' that I spotted on hotel.com. Imagine my surprise when I found out there was no breakfast when I went to turn in our room key. It turns out the breakfast was as elusive as a unicorn.As we checked out, we encountered the motel's 'staff': one sleeping on the lobby couch and another doing laundry in some undisclosed room. I left the room key in the window slot like a secret agent.A

The room was filthy. There was black mold in the bathroom. The bed was clean but that was the only plus. Went to the lobby twice but there was no staff there.

Breakfast was not included as advertised. Room was overall clean, but could use some updating. It’s the closest place after crossing into AL from MS on I-20. If I had to stay again, I would.

The phone didn't work, the shower drain plug didn't work, which caused the tub to fill up when i'm taking a shower.

The sent in the room was horrible. The comforters were very old with cigarette burns.. I had a blow up mattress and i slept on it and hadn't been washed. The guy at the front desk was pleasant.

Not shortage of hot water or comfortable bed. Lack of.... Cleanliness, no hair dryer in room as advertised, no phone in room even if you need front desk you must walk to it. No breakfast... probably due to covid. Check in extremely slow at night. Coffee tasted like water but the marathon next door had great coffee!! Stayed 2 nights... Did not even replace the used washclothes(just refolded wet and hung back up) or the coffee for morning #2. And we had room set at 73 and when we got back for night #2 it had been changed to 60... absolutely freezing. The location off the interstate is great The beds were very comfortable, pillows thick..slept like a rock. Fairly quiet Water was perfect in shower day 1, day 2 it was actually too hot don't know if it's because I changed pressure setting...toilet leaked from somewhere on the floor and I forgot to let them know. As far as staying again .. most likely because of the beds, water pressure and location

Lacking except for the good cold air!
Needs updating. No phone or coffeemaker in room. No breakfast. No ice. Cable stopped working shortly after arriving. It was an emergency evacuation following a hurricane and worked for us. Very cold air! Pet friendly. Very quiet room.

Close to the interstate and next to a gas/food station. Building is very old, bathroom fixtures doesn't work properly, toilet old and too small, microwave old and rust almost caught afire. I guess acceptable for the area and price.

We could not find a room anywhere else in surrounding cities for a reasonable price. This was a last resort. Beds were uncomfortable, cleanliness was questionable.
