"The property is dated, and the facilities in the room are not of a great standard. I was in a top floor room on a very hot day, no air con, no fan and the window was prevented form owning more than an inch (I understand as there was a large drop on the other side). But the room should not be bookable when temperatures rise. A staff member found a fan but made me feel like an annoyance for asking for a fan or the availability of an alternative room.

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "I cannot fault this property. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and fresh to a great standard of decoration (much like the rest of the hotel) and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely return when we stay in the Lakes next time."
