"Had a lovely, relaxing couples trip and it was everything was wanted it to be. It was quiet and secluded, a bit of a bumpy road getting there, but worth what you find at the end! We really enjoyed the observation deck, views, nostalgic classic board game selection, and hot tub.The hosts did a great job of making sure everything we needed was available for a comfortable stay. "Walden was exactly as advertised. We loved the cozy atmosphere and creature comforts. Due to rainy weather we did not get to utilize a lot of the outdoor and riverside amenities but recognized them for being available had the weather cooperated. Derek was very responsive to any needs we had. We loved the screened porch and ate their and enjoyed drinks despite the weather. We are already planning a return visit."

The cabin itself is cozy and quiet with plenty of places to relax and enjoy listening to the river, trees, and birds. "The perfect mountain home for a relaxing getaway! The proximity to the Front Royal Entrance to the Shenandoah National Park and the town was a plus! We saw deer (with a baby), rabbits, and tons of beautiful birds on the property.The house is nicely updated with all the amenities one could want. "My husband, our fur baby and I enjoyed our stay. This location and house fulfilled every expectation we were hoping for when staying in Virginia (1st time to this state). "The home was perfect for our quick family getaway. It was just as pictured, very clean, and had everything we needed. I think our favorite part of the whole trip was hanging out in the backyard on our last night - the big maple tree provided so much shade in the hot afternoon and the string lights were a nice touch while we made s'mores in the firepit at night. There's a great paved and divided pedestrian trail across the street that was perfect for taking the dog out for a walk in the morning...
