We loved this property. The location was quaint and felt very private. The home is warm, carpeted in the right places, spacious, and very comfortable. There are gas fireplaces in the living and bedroom which make evenings particularly beautiful as you stare out into the darkness. The bed was comfortable (we only used one bedroom), kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and wonderful to cook in. But if you don't want to cook there are a few good places in town (we enjoyed Woodstock Cafe) and Doordash delivers a few places to the house. The drive up to the house was really beautiful (you cross the North Fork of the Shenandoah just as you arrive). The artwork in the house is stunning and the furniture is lovely and warm. We did some remote work one of the days there and there were plenty of spaces to settle in and work. If you're here when the seasonal pool is open (it's inside the house), I imagine it being amazing since you can walk to it from the bedroom! There are bathrooms in each room (the master bath was great and spacious plus had a lovely bidet!), and then one near the dining room. Highly recommend this place for a nice reprieve and stunning views + a short drive into the George Washington National Forest (you can either head east to the forest or west toward the West Virginia border). There are a ton of wineries in this area, caverns, and more to check out (we've been in the area before so we really just wanted to enjoy the warm home and beautiful views). Tupac and Esme are extremely gracious hosts and very kind/easy to interact with, and they left a few small treats that made our trip extra special.
