This impressive self-catering property is spread over four floors and features eight bedrooms, a cosy sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a charming family room. Guests can enjoy the garden, off-road parking, and free WIFI. Its convenient Lake District location makes it an ideal base for exploring Cumbria.



    The Space:

    Rosemount can be found in the heart of the iconic Lake District town of Windermere, offering a spacious Victorian town house experience. With eight comfortable en-suite bedrooms spread over four floors, this family retreat caters perfectly to groups of up to 16 guests.



    Upon arrival, enjoy convenient off-road parking for up to six vehicles.



    Starting from the uppermost floor, Rosemount features a spacious king-size bedroom with an en-suite bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. There are two king-size bedrooms complete with en-suite walk-in showers, basins, heated towel rails, and WC’s.



    On the second floor you will find a spacious four-poster king bedroom with large bay windows, two king bedrooms and a single bedroom, all with en-suite walk-in showers, basins, heated towel rails, and WCs.



    The final bedroom located on the ground floor, hosts a four-poster king-size bed and a single bed in an attached room. There's an en-suite bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail, and WC.



    Additionally, on the ground floor you will be met by the inviting sitting room boasting comfortable seating, a large bay window, and a Smart TV for relaxation after a day of exploration.



    From there, head downstairs to the open-plan living space, features a crackling wood burning stove, generous sofas, a large Smart TV, and a spacious dining area. The shared family bathroom on this level features a spacious Villeroy and Boch bath with shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC.



    The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need to cook a home meal or enjoy a light breakfast before heading out to explore the Lakes. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen, the room hosts ample seating for all. For those looking to indulge in enjoying the undivided attention of a personal professional chef, there is a small catering kitchen that is accessible to all.



    A convenient utility room is situated on the basement level to ensure all culinary needs are met with ease.



    On sunny days, head out the floor to ceiling glass doors off the dining area to reach the rear garden and fire up the barbecue for al fresco dining at the charming picnic tables. Relax in the newly installed hot tub and embrace the serenity of the Lake District.



    Explore nearby shops and pubs, or venture further afield to discover the stunning landscapes of the Lake District National Park, all within easy reach from this exceptional holiday home.

    The property features eight bedrooms, each with Smart TVs and en-suite facilities. Additionally, it offers a family room, open-plan living space, kitchen, utility room, and sitting room. Amenities include central heating, a range cooker, 10 Smart TVs, WIFI, and an Amazon Echo Plus. Off-road parking for six cars, a rear garden with astroturf, picnic tables, and barbecue are also available. Bed linens and towels are provided for all guests.



    We’re pleased to share that a convenient tap has been installed at Rosemount, perfect for washing your pets after a day of exploring! As of October 2024, pets are welcome at the property for a small token fee. Please let us know in advance how many pets will be joining you.

    Located in the charming town of Windermere, the house provides a convenient base for exploring the Lake District and its surroundings.



    Within walking distance, guests can enjoy the picturesque Lake Windermere, perfect for water sports enthusiasts. Nearby attractions include The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Windermere Jetty Museum, offering cultural experiences for all ages.



    For outdoor adventures, Queen Adelaide’s Hill and Orrest Head provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape. And when it's time to unwind, Hooked offers fresh seafood just a short stroll away.



    Venturing further, Ambleside offers historical sites like Ambleside Roman Fort and natural wonders like Stock Ghyll Force waterfall. Hawkshead village, known for its quaint charm and connections to William Wordsworth, is also within reach.



    Kendal, a historic town nearby, boasts attractions such as Kendal Castle and the Kendal Museum. Plus, there are supermarkets and other amenities easily accessible from Windermere.

    Bus - Windermere town is well-served by local bus services, with stops along Lake Road and nearby areas. Guests can check local bus schedules and routes for convenient travel options.



    Taxi - Taxis are readily available in Windermere, providing a convenient option for guests arriving at Windermere station or other nearby locations.

A gem in a perfect location

We recently stayed at Rosemount Guesthouse for a quiet celebration of my 50th birthday with family and friends, and it was nothing short of perfect. The accommodation was immaculate, with rooms that catered to all preferences -some grand with four-poster beds, and even the smaller rooms were generously sized and all ensuite. The heart of the property is its spacious open-plan kitchen, featuring a large table that comfortably seated all 11 of us -ideal for group meals / takeway. The location couldn't be better, with easy access to both Bowness and Windermere, offering plenty of opportunities for scenic walks. Check-in was seamless, and communication throughout our stay was excellent. Rosemount has an undeniable touch of class that makes it perfect for a memorable Lake District get-together. Ample parking for six cars was a bonus. I truly cannot recommend Rosemount highly enough—it exceeded all expectations and made our weekend incredibly special. And, the hot tub helped with the aching bones after a long walk to Hawkshead (via the ferry). Oh, and the coffee machine was another star of the show!
