"This was an excellent hotel if travelling with your dog; the welcome and outdoor facilities are very good. The room was warm and attractive. It was a shame the nice restaurant wasn't used for evening meals. The bar area got pretty crowded and is fairly basic. The TV was very obvious and needed subtitles ..."

Not so close and a bit runned down
"Bed was too small and extremely hard. I was greeted by a wonderful helpful lady called Maya and thanks to her the stay was a bit more pleasant, but hotel is very runned down and noisy."

"The location is absolutely breathtaking nestled in the heart of the Lake District, easy access to stunning walks. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was particularly good, impressive.
