Fantastic and ethereal property

The grounds were beyond calming and serene. The state of the rental was the perfect compliment to the warm and tranquil outdoors landscape. Will definitely be coming back!

Truly a Starry Hilltop getaway!

This was the best little cabin for a friend getaway weekend in Hill Country. It was perfectly remote, but still easy to drive into Wimberly for shopping and restaurants. Accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. The hilltop views were lovely!

Country retreat

Loved the feeling of being isolated surrounded by wildlife. Amount of birdsong was incredible. Wandering around the property with my dog was wonderful. Would love to go back

Best Place we’ve ever stayed

We loved everything about this place. The property was incredible - the sunsets, the terrain, etc. the place itself was so cozy. It was clean and much bigger than we thought it would be. It was the perfect place to unplug and enjoy being. This is our favorite place we’ve stayed and want to come back as soon as possible.

Girls weekend

We enjoyed the ambiance and beautiful scenery. Our only concerns were there was no keypad on the gate, was a bit of a challenge to relock the keypad on the front door on our way out, and we only had one large cooking spoon.

Beautiful house on a nice peice of property

I stay at 6 or more rental properties a year and this one was a great spot for the time of year. The land was very accessible and beautiful and the house was country cozy, with spacious living and kitchen areas. The outside kitchen and indoor wood burning stove were well used and creative kid time on the land was exactly what we were looking to accomplish.

Great Views!

Was totally surprised by this wonderful property with amazing views. It's outside the hustle and bustle, where you feel relaxed. Kids loved the swing and space to roam. Highly recommend for families, it's a little rustic but that is the charm of the hill country. My daughter who attends Texas State liked it so much she stayed for the weekend so much be relaxing.

We grabbed this spot last minute for the long weekend, and I am so glad we did! It is a quick drive in from San Antonio, but it feels world's away. Beautiful hill country sunsets, great stargazing, and plenty of land for our kids and dogs to explore. (We brought hiking boots for the terrain-they came in very handy) The area was rich with interesting rocks, minerals, and fossils. We brought a mini telescope & were able to get some great shots of the moon in the mornings! We loved that there was no wifi and we could focus on connecting as a family. The library was impressive and far more extensive than I could have hoped for---great book picks, right up our ally. There were plenty of great family games, and we played several throughout our stay. When we were sleepy or it was hot outside, we cozied around the DVD player & watched Little House on the Prairie.Big kitchen, fully stocked with utensils. Great long wooden table for meals, as well as plenty of outdoor seating as well. Beds were comfy, sound is well insulated room to room, and the entire house had a very cozy feel.

Hidden Gem

This is such a nice place to stay. It's super peaceful with a great view off the back porch. The inside of the house is cute and cozy. We brought our kids aged 11, 7, and 5 who all had a great time. They have board games and some toys for kids. It was clean, the beds are comfy, and overall we had a great experience. The host accommodated us when we wanted a last minute extra night. The only thing that was a minor issue was the grass was growing really long over the walk way.

Peaceful inside, but outdoor areas didn’t match expectations

We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and the inside of the home — it was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The host was responsive and thoughtful, providing a great selection of books, games, and DVDs, which helped a lot during a week with flooding in the area.That said, the outdoor space didn’t match the listing photos. The yard was extremely overgrown, which made it unsafe for our kids to play — especially with snake concerns. The outdoor kitchen area also felt unkept, so we didn’t feel comfortable using it. Because the weather kept us at the house more than we expected, these outdoor limitations made a big impact.The house itself was very clean, but a few towels had visible stains, which was a small downside. Overall, it’s a quiet and scenic location, and we’d consider staying again.

Everything was great. Telescope was missing

I would rate this 5 stars but the telescope in the pictures was not there. We had to bring my telescope. Otherwise it was perfect, the games and books on site were great.
