Peaceful and Beautiful!

The Rooster Cabin was a total delight! The grounds, the house, area were everything we'd hoped for. The grounds were well maintained, the house well stocked and the area secluded. I absolutely loved all the old windows and stained glass! Beautiful home and fabulous air conditioner!

Great cabin

We stayed at the cabin for a 3 day get away with friends and it is an amazing cabin. Quiet, secluded, very clean, exactly what we expected and wanted. Everyone kept saying how nice the cabin was. It is decorated perfectly and on purpose. Well done.

We really enjoyed my birthday vacation, especially all of the amenities/perks that came along with this listing. The only downside was that the hot tub didn’t work for us, but overall, I will definitely book this place again.

Thanksgiving

6 adults stayed during the Thanksgiving holidays. We did not take advantage of any of the outdoor activities the house has to offer. We only slept there but the house was very clean and well stocked . We will definitely consider staying there again .

nice place, poor customer service

Overall, this property was great, but unfortunately we had issues with no hot water or water pressure for the entirety of our stay and have not received very good customer service for that issue. This property is very secluded, about a 20 min drive into town. It was spacious and clean and accommodated our party of 8 well. Pool was nice to have. We reported our lack of hot water to the property managers as soon as we realized it and they sent someone out to try to fix it. He was there most of the day and was still unable to fix it. When we contacted the property owner about a possible partial refund for our stay due to this issue, as we were not able to take adequate showers throughout our 2 day stay because the water was FREEZING, we were only offered a very small percentage of our money back. For what we paid to stay here for a weekend, we feel we should have had hot water and pressure. We have contacted the VRBO team for assistance and have been in the queue to hear back from their resolutions team for almost 2 weeks. Would not recommend this property for this reason.

Fun in the sun

We had a good time staying here. We liked that it was secluded and peaceful. The pool was okay but would like a better way to get in and out of the pool. One of the plastic lounge chairs broke as soon as my husband sat in it which left us with just one good chair. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to something happening at our house. We were sad about that.

Beautiful location!

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful Wimberly oasis. It’s in the perfect spot for privacy, yet is only about 30 minutes from several different towns in all directions. We really enjoyed our stay!

Rooster Ridge on High Point

The property itself was beautiful. Bedrooms nice. Stairs very narrow and steep and loft ceiling very low. I’m 5foot and kept hitting my head on lift ceilings. The windows were very dirty, cobwebs and dust on the inside windows. I had to sweep and mop because floors were dirty. Shower stalls on bottom were not cleaned properly. No electric can opener. The pool was filthy from top to bottom with sand dirt and debris and lots of bugs. Called the property manager and they refused to come out and clean pool saying they had already done so that morning so we did not get in pool 1st day.. I had to send my daughter in law to buy a Manuel pool vacuum. I spent second day cleaning pool from bottom to top for over an hour. There pool net was torn so as I gathered debris and bugs it would come right out because of hole. The hot tub had no power so we didn’tyse first day either till we called and they told us how to reset hidden breaker. Next door neighbor was very nosey walking his fence line scoping us out with guys huge dog who would not stop barking. Didn’tfeel comfortable walking around in my bathing suit. Eyes were on me. Outdoor porch is lovely but it was full of dirt and leave we had to sweep ourselves and glass table was filthy with dirt and dust. Needless to say I spent most of my 3 days cleaning what should have been done already. I felt like a maid. I couldn’t enjoy my company or the amenities because dirty and hot tub out till we had to set breaker. Will not be back.
