The house is beautiful, nice and open. The place was not very clean though and many things broken upon arrival, bar stool, pool table equipment, half pieces of kitchen appliances, etc. Just not very well kept. Lots of little bugs behind the twin in the queen room. Lots of dust and hair in the second bathroom shower curtain. Looks like outside hand rails down to the river was broken, one bedroom had a queen vs. the king listed. I would stay again but would def. recommend it to be better cleaned and kept. Stunning scenery, lots of deer and great location close to downtown shops. I took pictures of the unclean areas, can send them privately if needed.

We stayed in this home about six years ago and loved it. That's the reason we came back, but I was not impressed this time. The house was filthy. Nothing had been dusted. The toilets, all have mold in them. The floors were absolutely gross. We had to wear shoes in the house the whole time. Also there were no knives that were sharp enough to cut a piece of meat, the pots and pans need to be replaced. There's no icemaker therefore you have to go buy ice every day. There was not enough toilet paper. There was only 5 1/2 rolls for eight people for five days. Only one pool stick was usable. We had to use my fire stick out of my suburban to watch TV. You also had to turn on the TV manually and turn it up and down manually because the remote did not work. We also grilled every night and the first night we grilled the great on the grill is all rusted with holes in it so we had to go to Ace Hardware to get a new one that we took with us when we left.Overall, our stay was enjoyable because we made the best of it, but I will not be renting the house again or be recommend it to anybody? I had family that came in, and I was embarrassed. If you're going to price the house at close to 1000 a day. It should feel that way when you arriveI hope you're able to fix some of the changes to reflect the cost. Very sad because I would have wanted to stay there again.

Great stay!

The house and property were great and we loved the easy river access. The only complaint is they advertise 3 king beds and twin room but one of the king rooms is actually a queen bed.

Dream Location

Amazing property, great location. The house is immaculate, so much space for a larfge group, river frontage, right at the end of the road and close to town. Easy booking and check in as well. Be back for sure !

The Best

We loved this property and would rent it again. The kitchen rocked - it was roomy enough for several cooks and the best stocked of any VRBO house we’ve rented. My grandchildren loved having so much room to roam and loved playing in the river. None of us were ready to leave.

What a lovely home

Several of us were in Wimberley for a wedding and loved our stay here. The house was very comfortable and the view of the cliffs from the living room was stunning. The river access was great. We spent a few hours sitting in the water and enjoying the sights. Despite being in the middle of summer, the breeze in the evening made it reasonable to sit outside, which was nice. Communication with the property management group was great. Would highly recommend this rental!

Not as described

Unfortunately, there were many problems that occurred during our stay and the home seems to be neglected for a VRBO rental. Customer service replied they would get back to me about complaints but never did until 3 days after our stay with no remedy to the situation except for the AC. -AC was not functioning upon our arrival. It was fixed during our arrival. We had to let the contractor in. -many dead bugs on the interior -was not cleaned up to standard -water damage coming down the walls in dining area -broken glass in dishwasher. Dishwasher smelly -unable to walk down to the river because of fire ants leading down to the river. Too much brush on each side of the path to feel comfortable walking down. Not a good entrance to the river. -adjacent properties not very well kept -mattresses were uncomfortable -outdoor furniture is very uncomfortable -grill was a mess and ashes were not cleaned out -using the TV was very difficult and customer service did not assist The list goes on… Would not recommend a vacation here.

Friends' Getaway!

We are a group of women who have been friends for over 50 years and love to take 2 trips a year for the purpose of reuniting. This VRBO in Wimberley fit our needs perfectly. It was located on the river, spacious, immaculate, well-equipped, and had all the sleeping arrangements that we needed for 8 people. We, honestly, felt that we were staying in someone's home (not always the case in VRBOs). There were enough supplies provided that we never had to make a trip to the store. The only "blip" was that the password was misprinted for the Wi-Fi, but after calling the property management, it was, quickly, resolved. If I could give this place a higher rating, I would. You won't be disappointed!!

Beautiful Property Close to Wimberley

This house was perfect for a family with small kids. We enjoyed the one-story home and the main living space was comfortable and nicely decorated. Bedrooms are co-located in one wing which allows adults to easily enjoy the living area, kitchen, and outdoors after kids are in bed. The house has plenty of beds and fortunately there were no bunk beds to tempt clumsy toddlers. Getting around is easy as Wimberley parking is only a 5-minute drive and grocery stores are just a bit further. Easy to run around during the day and settle into a peaceful nature retreat at night. I would absolutely stay at this property again.

Gorgeous place!

We absolutely loved this property! The views & windows were amazing; we loved sitting outside in the mornings to drink coffee. The house was very spacious, we had 8 people staying & everyone agreed their bed was super comfortable. It was about a 5 minute drive to downtown which was super convenient. I'm already planning a trip back during the summer time to enjoy the river with kids.

River Hiatus

We stayed at this fabulous home for a family birthday celebration. I think the first reaction we had was that the pictures didn't even begin to show how great this property is. The land itself is beautiful and the house is icing on the cake. It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood close to town but feels like it's very remote. The house is tastefully done and has a wonderful homey feel to it. It was nice to get a reprieve from the 100 degree heat and play pool inside. New pots and pans would be a nice addition as the current ones are pretty worn, but other than that it's a lovely place.

Just as Described

The property was fantastic! Access to the river (thank God for the rain the week before!) and location were ideal. The house was spacious and comfortable and the view was beautiful. We had a group of 6 women and there were so many beds to choose from! The kitchen had all the basic necessities. Communication with property host was easy and they were very quick to respond with answers to our questions. Our only complaints were that the fire pit was rusted out and therefore broken leaving a rusty, ashy mess (we arrived to this), the patio furniture could use some updating but did not deter us from enjoying the patio, and while we appreciated the cigarette bucket (keeping butts off the ground), it should be emptied out after every stay, if used. Overall it was a fabulous weekend in a great house. We will definitely be back!

As advertised

We've been doing this annual guy strip for 11 years now. This place was amazing. Mostly private. River view was amazing and just beautiful clear water. Bedding was comfortable and the pool table a real bonus. I don't see this listing on VRBO anymore, so I hope they haven't removed the listing. We will stay here again if available.

Country chic perfection on the river

This is a beautiful home right on the river. It is on a secluded road and there are neighbors nearby but the property is large and you have plenty of privacy. Clean, well kept, and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again!

Outstanding location.

6 senior ladies enjoyed this beautiful location on the River. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed. Beds were comfy and location very quiet. Would highly recommend!
