We stayed as Snowbirds for 4 weeks. The quality and cleanliness of the home, the provided amenities, and the location are all absolutely a 10/10. Drive through the automatic gate and you are wonderfully secluded on your own 40 acres yet just a few miles from Wimberly and an hour from either Austin or San Antonio. Our dog loved her daily walks on the property and going swimming every day in the river. Just a few things to note: both the kitchen and the bath each have an unusual step up into the room - only a concern if there are mobility issues; and the hot tub - while it ran great was terribly loud during its filtration cycles and could be heard throughout the house. The owner worked diligently with us to reduce its effect and we understand they are in the process of buying a new one. The owner was great to work with throughout our extended stay - very responsive.

The was our 7th visit to the house and as always we loved our time there. It was so nice to see the addition of a dishwasher in the newly remodeled kitchen and a new washer/dryer. The bathroom also has great updates. All of our needs were met and the place was spotless. Lots of friendly deer gathered in the mornings and evenings which was a beautiful experience. Can’t wait for our next visit! Roby is a great host and communicator.

This property is absolutely beautiful! We had a perfect anniversary weekend. The river was very close (short walk) and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, BBQ grill, and horseshoes. It's also very close to "town" with lots of restaurants. There's a BBQ restaurant even closer that had live music and an outdoor area - We loved it! We would definitely stay here again - It was the perfect slice of paradise. Note: The path to the river runs right next to the larger house on this property, and the river access is shared with any guests staying at that property as well. We didn't run into anyone during our stay but just FYI as I had this question before we booked and didn't see it in earlier reviews. Thanks for making our weekend memorable!

This rental had it all. Close to town if you wanted that experience. Private and surrounded by so much nature if you are needing a little rest and rejuvenation. The wildlife was so fun to watch . We had such a lovely time that we would love to come back sometime. The cottage had everything you needed and was updated and very comfortable. 5 Star for sure.

The cottage was perfect for our family of 3. We spent hours in the river fishing, floating and playing with the rocks during the day. We grilled and watched the wildlife from the hot tub and patio in the evenings. The long drive is great for peaceful walks morning and evenings too. Everything is updated and looks very nice. I was thankful for a full washer and dryer so we came home with clean clothes ready to unpack. Town isn't far away if you need anything. Thanks again Roby for sharing your property. We would love to visit again.

Perfect Stay

We loved the cottage, it was beautifully designed, decorated, and better than we expected. The owner was very responsive and we only had one minor question. The walk to the river was easy and we had a blast lounging in the water. It was a great spot and I absolutely recommend.

Very quiet and relaxing environment

The house offered great location with a short path to the Blanco River. House is nicely remodeled and included a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable mattress and bedding, a recently remodeled bathroom, and featured a laundry room. Also included a covered porch off the kitchen, a hot tub, fire pit, and horseshoe area. The only caution I would have is the rather sizable step-up into the kitchen and the bathroom that may cause issues for elderly or very young.

A Beautiful Getaway

My wife and I stayed in the "Little House" on this property that is shared with a larger house that is around 100 to 200 yards away. Their was another group in the other house celebrating a bachelor party, but they thankfully did not make too much noise. Both houses have access to the Blanco River which was such a peaceful place to sit by. Definitely will consider coming to this property again for a peaceful getaway that is less than 10 minutes from Wimberly!

Quiet and Relaxing

It was perfect getaway for us. We enjoyed walks up and down the long drive and the trail/stairs down to the river. We also enjoyed the great WiFi and satellite TV to enjoy the Bowl Season. We’re looking forward to coming back soon.

Relaxing in the Hill Country

Loved the weather sitting on the back porch (where most of my time was spent) watching the deer and grey fox. Ventured down to the Blanco River where we walked on the rocks looking into the clear water. nice area to sit down in the shade and relax! Went to Wimberly for food and shopping. Had an awesome time! Want to make this an annual trip.

Perfect Hill Country Cottage

This was our second stay on this property...1st stay was at the large house. Just two of us this time, so we thought we'd try the cottage. It was perfect for two! Clean, convenient and had everything we needed for our stay. Roby made check-in seamless and made sure we knew how to contact him if necessary. We very much enjoyed watching the deer and foxes that visited nightly. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Hill Country Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The house is cozy, well-equipped, and perfectly situated among the Texas Hill Country. The private access to the Blanco River and the stunning views made our trip extra special. We enjoyed peaceful mornings with the deer grazing nearby and relaxing evenings in the hot tub under the stars. The location is convenient, just a short drive to Wimberley Square, but still feels secluded and tranquil. Highly recommend this place for a quiet, relaxing retreat! We would definitely return.
