Just an all around great place to stay! On the beach, very friendly staff, on site parking. Have been staying at the Port Royal since the ‘70’s and continues to be my favorite.

From check in to check out this hotel did not disappoint! Our room was beautiful. We loved the balcony overlooking the ocean. The pool was nice. We really loved the restaurant in the hotel and used the pick up window often for mid day snacks. The food was really good! The staff were so friendly. Great location near the beach and the boardwalk entry is about a 10 minute walk. Loved this place so much and will be coming back!

Location cannot be beat. Right on the free beach and next to a playground and splash park. Loved the shallow kids’ pool and on site restaurant. Staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to check in at 11 instead of 4 pm. Rooms were a bit small but balcony was nice. Overall had a great stay and locals in the area also told me this was the best hotel here.

Nice place to stay, on the beach, next do a large splashgroynd and pkayground. The drawback for us was the pool hours. I think it was like 9am to 7pm.

Our suite was quiet and comfortable. Some of the furniture is a bit worn, dated. I did notice that the WiFi was spotty.

Great place!
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Right on beach. Nice pool are. Adequate parking. Very clean, safe and relaxing community. It is a dry town but restaurants allow BYOB. Also short drive to restaurants outside the town where there are bars.

Expectations
On check-in, Front desk could not answer any of our questions. They lacked even basic info about hotel. They announced our room number to the entire lobby. Unnecessary and a Security issue. Hotel reeks of mustiness and mold. Breakfast at hotel rest. Was excellent. Server was superb.

I’ll go back again.
Everything was great, very nice hotel. The only issue we noticed was that the pool was not clean, very cloudy and that made it not inviting to want to swim. It also advertised to be heated but was not.

The only reason I Rated the property condition and facilities with a 4 is because we arrived at the hotel on the second day of its opening for the the season. Understandingly all amenities were not fully ready and available for customer use. All that being said, “the staff” from management and front desk, to the domestic help, maintenance crew, and cafe staff, were very pleasant, helpful, and considerate. We would absolutely consider returning for future visits.

We are so glad you had such a great stay in spite of some amenities not being available. We do want everything to be a go from day one and strive for that goal. Overall the stay was nice for my husband and the view of ocean was great from the room and balcony . The only disappointment I could not regulate the temperature in the room and it was chilly and I had to asked for extra blankets 🙁 I think you should be able to regulate temperatures in room everyone feels differently in there room and I like to be able to change the temperature .

Property after the high season was quiet and clean. 9n block near beach. No happy staff smiles though. At least not from three of the front staff we encountered. No 'welcome' when we got there in the evening, or 'good morning' when we left at 8 am. Not exactly the welcoming committee....are your customers worth that little to you? No microwave or refrigerator in our room.

I don't think that I have ever stayed in a hotel so close to the beach. It was great looking over the balcony toward the beach. The room was clean and comfortable. No complaints.

We liked that it is in the Crest. Right next to the park for concerts & close to the beach. We did not like the bathroom without separate shower. Liked the separate vanity. Horrible, uncomfortable furniture including the dining chairs. Pillows & mattress were like laying on bricks. Sorry, but will never come back. Could not wait to leave. Thankfully, only two nights.
