"We had gone out, came back around 9pm and the main gate was locked. There was no security person manning the gate. Security guard came after 15 min or so and did not have the key to the padlock. We kept on calling the cell number provided by the hotel and there was no answer. Almost an hour later, they had to break the padlock. Manager on duty not answering calls and nowhere to be found as well. "

"They did not have our reservation but happy to see us. Comfortable room. Fantastic view of the ocean Good was fine. "

"Honestly, the his place is so dirty, it’s unbelievable. The furniture is substandard and the TV doesn’t have basic channels like CNN. "

"Great place friendly staff only downside was the outdated bathroom and an exceptionally small room television."

"Great staff, great property, truly refreshing. The property is underrated, from the rooms with outside showers, amenities and the game roaming around the property and lastly the trail within the property offers a great opportunity to walk or run for relaxation and reflection, we were pleasantly surprised by all of this. The only bad thing we noticed was the odour in the room at times, it smelled like blocked drain or sewage."

"The property is in a beautiful location with access to a beautiful beach. Gardens/pathways are well maintained. The spa is excellent. Small problem areas are - teapot in room still full of old tea/rust colored water in the kettle/wooden strip above the lounge curtain fell off/dinner was mediocre (risotto was terrible - stodgy lump)/back of house area behind our villa had garbage lying around. Devil is in the details. "

"After 25 hours travel from Norway, we were met by a friendly host. He offered us a better room than we had booked. He also recommanded a nice resturant in walking distance from the lodge. We had a wonderful seafood meal. And we had a good night sleep in the lodge. Villa Tropicana was a peaceful place in our shart stay in Margate. Asle, Norway."

"When I first arrived I was amazed with the beauty of the hotel and its location. Stunning sea views and Mountain view’s on the other side. Was disappointed with the no wifi. My room was very huge and I loved that. Had one of the best AC units from any of my previous hotel stats. My bathroom door was broken, had stains left on the lap shade and bin. Shower was out of control. But seemingly I had a nice relaxing time there. You cannot beat the view and having breakfast over looking the ocean in...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Côte d’Azur. We were welcomed warmly and especially enjoyed Siswe, the gentleman at reception. The apartment was so beautiful and clean and had everything we could have needed. Keep in mind that in South Africa, there are no electrical plugs in bathrooms "
