"Room was large and clean with a bath and shower. The hotel is in a beautiful village next to the river and many lovely walks. Evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast. All the staff were great with Naomi going above and beyond."

"The room was in some what of a good condition apart from the pervious persons rubbish under the bed and the cobwebs above the bed limited heating with no control of it found ourselves rather cold throughout our time in the room. "

"Our stay was fabulous. Its an amazing place with amazing staff and food. Beds and rooms we're immaculate. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 5 star was the dogs barking late at night. Don't know of they were inside or out or both but it was on going for quite a while. Will be back though "

We thought the main bedding could be better with a bit more blackout curtain/blinds as the ambient lights outside were on for a longer period at night - these are some feedback for the sake of it. "We stayed in a family room. It was very spacious, clean and comfy. The Inn is not far from Kendal cbd (less than 10 min drive). The hotel does do dinner, it is a little pricey tho. The included breakfast was quite good (cereals and full english breakie style included in our stay). "

"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"This was the second time that I have stayed here. The hotel is well worn - don't expect a new out-of-the-box chain hotel - but the staff are excellent and the view is superb. To sit at breakfast and look out over the bay cannot be matched by hotels in Lancaster or on the motorway. It's not much more than 15 minutes by car from the M6, parking is free and the sea is just over the road."

"I stayed at the Fenwick a couple of times now travelling on business and enjoyed my stays. The rooms are very well presented and always nice a warm. Good food, especially breakfast. I think the road outside does not do the hotel any favours, but once your inside you can forget the road."
